“Right,” she heard Michelle sigh, “jokes aside girl, I’m worried about you. You better let me know if shit goes down and Jack better be handling this like he said or I’m kicking his ass.”

Vanessa smiled, “I trust him. I don’t know what it is, but I trust him with everything I have.”

“That’s called, I want to jump his incredibly sexy bones,” she laughed again. “Well at least this might keep you away from Doug for a little while.”

“Michelle,” Vanessa said sternly.

“What V? I don’t like him, I’m sorry and don’t you think it’s weird, you hanging out with him again?”

“Okay, whatever. I have to finish packing and by the way, I do not want to jump Jack’s bones.” Lies, she thought.

“Ugh, you’re such a liar. Anyway, be safe and keep me posted.”

“I will, love you.”

“Love you, too, girl,” Michelle replied and they both hung up.

Vanessa finished her packing, fed Sprinkles, and went outside. It all happened so fast. One minute she was finding creepy letters under her door and the next, she was on her way to Jack’s place to stay. Her heart started to beat faster because this was going to be interesting.
