She nodded. “Four months pregnant.”
“Four months! How did you manage to hide it from me for so long?”
Laughing, she leaned her head against his shoulder. “With difficulty.”
“So,” he said, kissing the top of her head. “What did the doctor say?”
“That everything looks well, and that the most dangerous period is over.” She sat back again. “And that we’re going to have a baby on the first day of spring.”
Gone was the discretion, and Zak pulled Soraiya onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her. “I love you so much.”
She nodded. “I know. And I love you.”
He smiled. “That’s a lot of love. What are we going to do with it all?”
“Easy,” she said. “Share it around and love everyone. Especially our family… especially our children.”
