“Be ready to wake up to me inside you,” he promised as we got back on the freeway, and I shivered.

“I’ll be ready,” I whispered, checking on Mac.

We probably didn’t need to whisper. He was snoring louder than normal, his cheek squished adorably against the window.

I shivered again, and Bash cranked up the heat. The air had grown colder the closer we got to the beach, and the sun had set before we were even out of town. It was barely warm in Vancouver. The beach would be misty and gray.

But it didn’t matter in the slightest. I wasn’t kidding when I warned Bash they’d have to drag me out of the hotel room kicking and screaming.

Chapter Seven

Mac

“Good morning,” Bash’s sleepy blue eyes crinkled at the corners when he saw I was awake.

“Morning.” I moaned, working out the kinks from sleep and from not stretching enough after the game last night. “I’m regretting that nap in the car.”

I stretched across Em’s slumbering form and pressed my lips to Bash’s rough cheek.

“I promised our girl we’d wake her up with—”

Em sat up, startling me. “I’m awake and there’s no dick inside me.”

I choked on air, and she smacked my back.

“What?” she asked, considerably more innocent.

“I didn’t know that was the agenda for the morning.” My cock twitched at the sight of her messy curls, battling with my stomach for whose needs were more of a priority. My stomach grumbled, winning the argument. “I’m famished. Can you hold out fifteen minutes for me to scarf down some of that breakfast I can smell downstairs?”

“Fine.” She folded her arms across her chest, but she couldn’t fool me. She liked being teased. A little anyway. If I went a second over fifteen minutes, all bets were off.

We threw on our clothes from last night and jogged down to the continental breakfast.

Back in our room, Bash nudged Em. “Get that belly full. You’ll need all the sustenance you can get for what we’re about to do.”

We ate in silence, each of us focused on a common goal.

My mind kept drifting to Bash’s choice of words. Get that belly full.

There had been something weighing heavily on my mind. A subject we had been dancing around for weeks.

No time like the present.

I cleared my throat and set my fork down. “Is this a good time to have the baby discussion?”

Bash froze, an apple halfway to his mouth, his eyes flicking to Em’s.

“The baby discussion?” she asked.

Em and Bash were the loves of my life, and lately it seemed like that love needed to expand into something bigger than the three of us. At first, this desire to have a baby with them was a small thought in the back of my mind. The closer we got to our wedding and our forever, this urge to have kids with the two of them had only grown.

I hopped to my feet, pacing the thin strip of rough carpet next to the bed.

“I want to have a baby with you guys. I know I can’t get you pregnant—” I smirked at Bash. “But I’m sure as hell going to keep putting in my best effort.”

He smacked my ass and pulled me closer to him. “Try all you want. I’ll try even harder.”

“Good,” I murmured. I turned to Em and cradled her chin in my hand. “If you’re ready to stop taking the pill, we could impregnate you.”
