Page 66 of Sensual Abduction

Be it by way of drugs, killing, or submitting to a woman who could have become my downfall. Now that I wasn’t physically in the streets anymore, I was open to trying something new. Something different. I didn’t mind exploring those things with Bunny. She was soft, attentive, explorative, independent, headstrong, and brave. It took bravery to take a half million dollars from a known, dangerous kingpin and flee without caring about the consequences. All those qualities I admired about her and would do my best to try to keep it around.

“Goodnight, bun. We have a busy day ahead of us.”

“Goodnight, Mr. Knight.”

I frowned. “Mr. Knight?”

“Yeah… My knight in shining armor.” I smiled and kissed her forehead.

From a villain to a hero. I can fuck with that.

Iwoke up with my nerves on ten.

Today was going to be an emotional day and I wasn’t sure if I was ready for it. I had no choice but to be though. There was no way I could allow Slim to leave this earth and I not get this shit off my chest.

Ahmad tried to alleviate a little of my anxiety with morning head. Granted, it helped for a little while, but now that we were on the way to take Kari to my parents, the anxiety was back. I sat in the passenger seat with my arms crossed, nervously shaking my leg.

Ahmad reached over and wrapped his large hand around my thigh.

“Relax, Bunny.”

“I can’t. I don’t know how you do this for a living.”

“You don’t have to do this at all. I can take care of it, and you never have to deal with it again.”

I shook my head. “I have to. End of story.”

He nodded and focused back on the road. I grabbed his hand and linked my fingers through his. Much to my surprise, he pulled my hand to his lips and kissed it. The action caused me to blush. Every time he showed me softness, it made my heart flutter.

“Mommy, where are we going?” Kari questioned from the back seat.

“It’s a surprise.”

I’d called my parents this morning to ask them to watch her and of course they said yes. Before we got off the phone, my father was already rattling off all the things he wanted to do with her. I just knew that in a matter of hours, they were going to pack in every ounce of time they’d missed with her.

“Is it a big surprise or a little surprise?”

I giggled. “It’s a big surprise, and I’m sure there will be even more surprises when we get there.”

She gasped and clapped her hands. My baby loved surprises and it didn’t matter how big or small. I could surprise her with a trip to Disney World or with a cute pair of socks and she was always grateful.

Twenty minutes later, we were pulling into the driveway of my childhood home. Cars lined the street, but I thought nothing of it. Tears flooded my eyes. It had been so long since I graced these walls. It looked just as I remembered. My father still kept the yard neatly trimmed and my mother still had the beautiful rose bushes she planted when I was a ten. The tire swing still hung from the big oak tree in the front yard.

Memories of my childhood flooded my mind and the tears I’d been fighting fell forward. Ahmad reached over and wiped my face.

“It’s all good, baby. Soon, you can be here whenever you want.”

“I know… I know.”

“Why are you crying, Mommy?” Kari asked.

“Mommy’s just happy to be home,” I said.

“Home?”
