Chapter Six

Acacia

“Good morning, mamacita. You lose that V-card?” Malissa says, dropping into the chair next to me.

I snatch her arm, not allowing her to sit long and drag her out the front door of the gym.

“Woah. What’s going on?” she asks, pulling out of my grasp as I shake my hands out and pace.

I exhale slowly and then face her straight on, dropping my hands onto her shoulders and leaning my head toward her. “Can you break a man’s penis?”

She grimaces. “Please never say penis again.”

“This is serious,” I whine, tears welling up in my eyes.

Malissa grips onto my wrists, pushing me off. “Okay, deep breath. What do you mean break? Do you mean it stops working or you snapped it like a twig?”

She tilts her head. “Or I guess more like a log, huh?” She holds out her hands, mimicking the size of Callum.

I swat at her, not wanting the gesture to be caught on camera. He would definitely know we were talking about him. “The second part. I don’t know what you mean by stop working.”

Malissa purses her lips. “I mean like when he fills your tank up with his special sauce and runs low. He can only keep pumping for so long.”

“Ew, stop. There was no pumping of sauce. There was light grazing of lips and then I sat on him, and I think I broke it.”

“What pair of lips?”

“Malissa!”

She snorts. “I’m sorry. Okay, so you guys were kissing and it was getting kind of hot and heavy. And you sat on his dick?”

I nod. “And he yelled and pushed me off. He was cupping his junk.”

The scrunch of her nose tells me it was bad. “Then what happened?”

“I got him ice and he held it there. After twenty minutes of awkward silence, he offered to take me home, but I just grabbed an Uber since he could barely get up without grunting in pain,” I tell her, running my hands through my loose hair. I usually wear it up in a ponytail at work, but this morning I was using it as a shield to hide behind.

“Okay, it’s not that bad. Has he messaged you this morning?” she asks.

I throw up my hands. “I don’t know. I haven’t turned on my phone. I was afraid he was going to tell me to not show up for work since I physically assaulted him.”

Malissa sniggers, moving to hug me. “Oh, honey. He’s not going to fire you. If anything, he’ll be the embarrassed one. The man was pitching a tent so large, you couldn’t even climb on safely.”

Relaxing in her hold, I squeeze my eyes. “It was my first kiss.”

She pulls back, pushing my hair away from my face and cupping my cheeks. “And despite how it ended, it was with the man you want. That’s a win, Acacia.”

I give her a small smile. My chest fills with warmth at our friendship. She lets go, stepping back and sighing. “Want to take over the locker room activities and I’ll come find you when he and his anaconda have slithered back into his office?”

“Please,” I say, rolling my eyes at her never-ending euphemisms.

Before I leave for the day, I decide I have to at least say goodbye and slowly make my way up his stairs. Gathering my courage, I knock softly and wait for him to call me in. I open the door, and Callum looks up from his desk. He leans back in his chair; his attention on me is unwavering as I walk in.

“Hi.”

His hand drops from the mouse, entwining his fingers together to rest on his stomach as he stares at me. “Acacia. I was wondering if I would see you today.”

My cheeks flush. “I’m sorry. I’ve been avoiding you.”
