“Stay forever,” I say.

“Okay.”

I jerk my head back enough to peer into her eyes. “Okay… are you saying what I think you’re saying?”

“Nathan,” she says. “Just go with it.”

The End

Epilogue One: Isabella

My hands fist in his shirt, my lips matching his hunger and need. We really don’t have time for this right now. We stepped away from Nathan’s house to run across to mine to get more boxes, while Evan and Jules supervised Rory’s painting of her bedroom, but once we were inside, and it was quiet and we were alone, Nathan grabbed me.

“We have to be quick,” I say, words barely coherent because Nathan already has me propped up on the kitchen counter, panties shoved to one side while he works a finger in and out of my center.

“Good thing you’re so ready, then,” he says, fumbling with his waistband. We’re both wearing ratty sweats for moving day, so all he has to do is lower his pants a few inches and his cock springs free. He lines himself up then grips underneath my thighs as he enters me in one long thrust. The cold countertop beneath me and the warmth of his body against my front heightens everything I feel as he gets into a quick rhythm.

We really don’t have time, and it’s like he’s made it his mission to draw as many orgasms as he can out of me in quick succession. Nathan buries his face in the crook of my neck, hips snapping into mine. He groans against my skin and it reverberates down my body, straight to my clit, which he hits with each thrust.

“God, Nathan.” I’m close already, but the moment he moves one hand to circle my clit and help me along, I’m done for. I dig my heels into his ass as my thighs start trembling, and all my senses zero in on the feeling of his cock dragging in and out, pounding into me over and over again.

I scream out and his cock instantly thickens inside of me, He speeds up, thrusting harder as my walls start to tremble. I arch my back, throwing my head back and clamping my eyes shut as it all becomes too much.

With a loud curse and a final thrust, he slams into me and spills himself. His head remains tucked in the crook of my neck as he pants. “God, I love you, Isabella Rossi.”

I instinctively clench around him in response to those words I’m not quite used to hearing. “I love you, too.”

He starts to stiffen inside me again and he lifts his head likely to gauge my interest in a repeat performance.

“Absolutely not. You’ve distracted me long enough. We were just supposed to be grabbing more boxes.”

With a sigh, he slips out of me. I immediately mourn the loss, but the thought of Evan walking in on this is enough to get me moving. I find my discarded shorts and slip them on while Nathan tucks himself away.

We grab a few boxes each and make our way back across the lawn. When we arrive, Nathan’s house seems a bit too quiet, and I worry something is wrong as we head toward Rory’s new bedroom at the end of the hall. I watch from the doorway as Rory lifts her paint roller over Kelsey’s unsuspecting head.

“Hey!” Kelsey screeches as Rory drips a giant glob of teal paint in her blonde hair. Kelsey scoops up some paint from the bucket in her hand and retaliates.

Teal streaks across Rory’s already paint-stained t-shirt. She gasps. “You’re going down, Peters.” Then she melts into giggles as she flings more paint. Kelsey ducks and the attack hits Nathan instead.

“Now, that’s not fair!” Nathan exclaims. He dives in to tickle Rory. The noise summons Evan and Jules, who were supposed to be supervising the girls in the first place.

“What’s going on in here?” Evan asks me, stopping beside me in the doorway to survey the scene.

“Oh, the usual,” I say. “Girls, we have to get cleaned up, Grandma and Grandpa will be here for dinner in a few hours and we have to finish painting your room by then.”

“Yes, listen to your mother,” says Nathan, who is now covered head to toe in teal. He grins at me and surges forward like he’s going to hug me. I dance out of the way.

“Oh, no you don’t.” But I’m short and he’s not. One of his strides is like ten of mine, so he catches me and flings me over his shoulder, carrying me into the fray. He sets me on my feet and I frown up at him. “What am I going to do with you?”

“Well, first it looks like you’ll have to help me get all this paint off in the shower… after that who knows?” He darts away to fling more paint at Rory. I watch them, frolicking about. Both Kelsey and Rory laughing happily. Evan and Jules are in the doorway, chatting, so wrapped up in their conversation, they hardly notice us. The only sane one is Murphy who is wisely avoiding all of this, and is likely sleeping beside his new best friend in the palatial dog bed Nathan bought for them.

Most days I can’t believe that this is my life, but then I get a handful of teal paint to the mouth and it all makes sense.

Epilogue Two: Isabella

One year and three months later…

“Las Vegas was my idea, Evan! You promised to watch the girls!” Jules stamps her foot as she squares off with my brother in our living room.
