He continued to stare at me, but then I couldn’t wait; he was too slow, so I leaned once again and kissed him. This time it was longer, deeper. My tongue touched his; however, before I could glide against the velvety smoothness, he caught me by the arm.

“Stop,” he said. “I'm begging you.”

“Why are you begging me?” I asked, shocked. “You don’t have to beg me, I'll do anything for you. Anything at all, all you have to do is ask.”

I turned to him, but now he looked mortified.

“What do you need? Tell me,” I asked.

He continued to watch me, and then he sighed. He seemed tired. Deadly exhausted, in fact.

“Was that it?” I asked. “Do you need to rest? Do you need a massage? I'll book one. She can come to the office.”

I turned then and began to search for my purse and my phone; however, I couldn’t find it.

“Madison, please stay still,” I heard him call from behind me. “You're going to hurt yourself.”

“I've almost found the phone,” I said, but then he grabbed me once again and turned me to face him.

“Can you just please keep it together till we get back to the hotel?”

It took me a while to understand what he was saying, but soon the word 'hotel' registered in my head like bright neon lights.

“Hotel? We’re going to a hotel together?”

“Yes, yes, we are,” he said, and my heart burst with joy and excitement.

“Really? So, we’re going to—you know?”

“You know what?” he asked.

I turned then and finally noticed that the driver was in front. He couldn’t hear what I wanted to say. It would be inappropriate. So, I leaned in then and whispered exactly what I thought into his ears.

“We’re going to fuck, right?” I asked. “You're going to fuck me? I've imagined it for so long. I masturbate at least once a day to you. I've done it for months and you never looked at me. It's fine; I forgive you, but you have to fuck me hard, okay? I want to scream. I don't want to be disappointed.”

At the thought, I felt emotional once again, and I couldn’t help but sob. I buried my face in my hands and cried my heart out.

Chapter Nine

Hunter

Iwas speechless. Truly. I had no idea whatsoever about what to say or do. And most importantly, I couldn’t believe that someone so completely lifeless when completely sober was this insane while drunk. I wasn’t even sure she was drunk. One second she would seem coherent and then the next she wasn’t. And what she had just said in my ear? She was going to drive me mad.

“You do know that when you get sober tomorrow and remember all this you’re going to want to quit, right? You’re either going to want to quit or you’re going to want to shoot yourself in the head. Whichever it is, don’t. Let’s just blame it on the dress and since I was the one who told you to get it, let’s just blame this entire night on me as well.”

Sighing, I shook my head and waited, however she didn’t respond. Instead, she remained in the position she was in until I became certain that she had fallen asleep, there was no question about it, and in many ways I was relieved. Eventually, her hands fell down to her sides, and then her neck began to droop. I watched her for a moment, recalled her complaint earlier about her neck, and guided her head down to my shoulder.

Soon, we arrived back at the hotel, and I considered just lifting her in my arms and carrying her in. If I told her to walk and given the heels she was wearing, she just might very well injure her ankle, and the last thing I needed was a limping secretary for the rest of my time here. This was supposed to be a vacation, but so far, it felt as though I was being punished for not noticing the real her all these months.

“We’re here,” I lightly tapped her shoulder. It took her a while, but eventually she came awake. She was groggy at first as expected, but I truly hoped that the little additional sleep she got would help her out.

“Where are we?” she asked.

“Back at the hotel,” I replied.

“Okay,” she replied, uninterested, and then she returned to resting on my shoulder.

I pushed the door open and then tried my best to get her out. She could walk somewhat fine, but I had to put my hand around her shoulders. Truly, I would have carried her, but I didn’t need the extra stare and alarm that was sure to come with me carrying a woman into my hotel room. The authorities were bound to come knocking at my door trying to confirm if she was okay.
