And pull.

Oh, my god.

The pants break away amid the sound of tearing Velcro. Max and Thad throw the pieces away and I fall into a fit of laughter from the depths of my gut at the sight of tight, hot pink thongs and smooth, gyrating hips.

They move in time with the song, bumping and grinding as they slowly peel their jackets off. I throw my head back, admiring the silliness of it all as my heart pounds for more of it.

More Max.

More Thad.

More more more of this perfect existence they’ve created for me.

They slip the jackets down their shoulders and kick them to the side, quickly peeking over at each other as they slide from side-to-side without bumping hips.

“You rehearsed this!” I gasp.

They merely wink, confirming my suspicions while they playfully pluck the buttons on their shirts. I bite my lip, my eyes bouncing back and forth between them as they slowly reveal more of their perfect bodies. I’ve seen them both naked a thousand times before now, but never like this. They’ve made me laugh a thousand times before now... but never this hard.

I’ve fallen in love with them every single day since our first days together...

But never like this.

They peel their shirts off and toss them at me. I catch them in the air and set them down, not wanting to miss a moment of this show.

Thank you, Father Christmas.

They flex and hump the air and push each other like idiots vying for my affections. They shimmy closer, wagging their groins and flexing their abs, and I genuinely fear for my life as my heart pounds harder than it ever has.

I’m dead. Literally dead.

Take me now, boys.

The music fades and they both tumble to their knees in front of me, completely winded from dancing and laughing with me.

I rest my hands on them; my left on Max and my right on Thad. “You two…” I say with tears in my eyes. “I can’t even…”

I pull them in to hug them and they hug me back, happily throwing their arms around each other, too.

“We love you, Phoebe,” Thad says, raising his head. “We don’t care who knows it or what they think about it.”

Max nods. “And nothing will ever change that.”

I swallow hard, willing my tears to stay away. “You could have just said that, you know…”

They laugh, and Max shakes his head.

“No, go big or go home,” he says, glancing at Thad. “For the lady.”

Thad flashes a wink. “For the lady.”

I collapse onto their naked shoulders again, letting the last of my laughter out as they hold me. “Thank you,” I say. “For today. For the last year. For…” I raise my head to look at them, admiring their bright eyes and chiseled faces. “Everything.”

Thad cups my cheek and smiles. “Merry Christmas, Pheebs,” he says.

Max caresses the other side, resting a finger beneath my chin. “And we hope you don’t mind that we tricked you beneath one of those lame holiday traditions.”

I lift my head, guided by his firm finger, and I roll my eyes at the piece of mistletoe hanging from the bedframe.
