She angled into him, snuggly like a teddy bear. “So intense. Why is that? I’ve never experienced anything like this with anyone before.”
His hand brushed her arm and tucked her into his side. “We’re a perfect match.”
“Yeah. You’re my equal.”
His heart sang at her words, and he smiled when she gazed up at him. He touched the end of her nose. “Does this mean we’re officially dating?”
She playfully smacked his chest. “It better.”
He chuckled. “Good. We have an understanding.” He kissed her forehead. “Shall we look at these menus?”
“No.” Beth wrinkled her cute, freckled nose. “Let’s skip to dessert.” She slid her hand behind his neck, pulled him in, claimed his lips along with his heart that would never be anyone else’s but Beth’s.
