Page 87 of Our Little Secret

I’ve never felt this way before. I tingle all over from the top of my head to the tips of my toes and I feel like I’m experiencing a full-body high. He pulls out of me and I move to the seat next to him while he pulls on his briefs and his pants, putting his shiny dick that is still glistening with a layer of me away. He reaches into the console to pull out some wipes for me and I assume he’s going to hand them to me but he pulls one out of the pack and rubs me gently between my legs, cleaning the traces of our orgasm. I let out a whimper when he ghosts the wipe over my clit and he gives me a grin when he does it again.

“Stop it.” I push his hand away with a giggle as I pull on my dress and shoes. I get out of the car and spritz myself with the perfume I brought when I realized we were going to fool around before we went in. I’d curled my hair in loose waves, so thankfully my hair doesn’t look much different. I touch up my makeup and check my neck for hickeys or any red marks from his beard and I’m grateful that we were more careful than usual.

“I think I look okay,” I say as I close the mirror.

“Okay?” he asks as he slides into the driver’s seat. “You look gorgeous.”

“I just mean, not like we just had sex in your car.”

He starts the car and pulls out of the garage towards the venue so we can valet the car. We were probably only ten or so minutes behind my family so I’m not surprised to see them still congregating near the front. I glare at my sister when she shoots me the largest grin and moves towards us.

“I could kill you,” I whisper and she frowns at me before turning to Chris.

“Hiii!” she says as she beams up at him. “I’ve been waiting forever to meet you!”

“He’s not a fan of you either right now!” I take a second to look her over and she looks so gorgeous in her white strapless mid-length dress. It’s mostly lace with a slit up one side giving it a hint of sexy, but more than that, she looks so ridiculously happy. “Putting a pin in my annoyance for a second, I’m glad you went with this dress. You look so beautiful,” I tell her as I pull her in for a hug and kiss her cheek.

“Congratulations, Autumn. It’s nice to finally meet you. We’re so happy for you,” Chris says as he pulls her in for a hug next.

“We!” Autumn squeals and bumps my hip with hers and I roll my eyes. “Wait, why isn’t he a fan?” She looks at Chris. “You’re legally obligated to be a fan of me, or I’ll make your life miserable.” She points at him while a smile tugs at her lips.

“I didn’t say that. She did.” Chris nods at me and I cross my arms.

“You told your loud-mouthed fiancé some protected information who then told our equally loud-mouthed brother!” I say through gritted teeth.

Her eyes widen before she winces and shoots a glare at her fiancé who is greeting a group of people. “Shit. I’m sorry, it slipped out.”

“Is that how it’s going to be now, you can’t keep my secrets? I’ve got some of yours too, dear sister.”

“No, I swear. It was just that one time,” she says as she holds my hands in hers before turning to Chris. “I’m so sorry and…I know more about this situation than anyone. I should have probably given more context like the fact that you’re so desperately in love with Marissa you can’t see straight. That will help.” She giggles before someone behind me seems to catch her attention. “Be right back.” She looks at Chris. “We have so much to talk about.”

Chris reaches for my hand and laces our fingers as we walk into the main room. “I like her. You two are so similar.”

“Don’t remind me,” I groan as we make our way through the room toward a table with glasses of champagne and we both grab a flute.

“Thank you for coming.” I’m already picturing a life of these types of events with him. Weddings, engagement parties, and other celebrations of love. Maybe eventually ours.

“No place I’d rather be,” he says as he taps his glass with mine.

“Oh my god,” I hear from behind Chris and when we both turn towards the voice, my heart skips a beat because we are met face to face with his ex-wife.

No. No. No.

“What are you doing here?” she asks looking at Chris and then me. “With…her,” she spits out and all I care about at this moment is not making a scene in front of my entire family and everyone my sister knows.

I look at Chris with a panicked expression and it’s almost as if he can read my mind. “Holly, what are you doing here?”

“I asked you first,” she snaps as she crosses her arms in front of her chest pushing out her breasts that are very much on display in her navy strapless dress.

I want to say something smart but the last thing I want is to set her off here of all places, so I go with the truth and speak as calmly as possible in an attempt to pacify her anger.

I blink at her. “My sister is the bride.”

Her eyes flash to Chris angrily. “That doesn’t explain what you’re doing here.”

“This is not the place to have this conversation and if you can’t behave civilly, I think it would be best if you left,” Chris says and I internally wince because while I would love to see him put her in her place, we are clearly not on the same page about not doing that here.

“Excuse me? I was invited.”
