“I did,” he replied.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

Kiro shrugged his shoulders. “My mother had a woman over. As I spoke to her, I realized that there was never ever going to be another woman like you in my life. So in that moment I made a decision that I wanted to marry you,” he said. Emma crossed her eyebrows. It wasn’t so romantic but it was sweet. She felt her heart flutter inside her chest.

“I’ve never met a man like you,” she said with a smile. Kiro snaked his arm around her and pulled her closer to him.

“Of course not,” he replied. Emma rolled her eyes.

“What if your parents don’t ever accept me?”

“They will have to because I am not going to marry anyone else.”

Emma giggled. It felt good to know that he was that determined about their relationship. “You’re going to have to win my mother over because she’s skeptical about you,” she said. Kiro raised his eyebrows.

“You told your mother about me?” he asked. Emma nodded.

“I told her about you before we came and she expressed her concerns. She was worried about me having a relationship with a rich prince. She was worried that you would break my heart.”

“She has nothing to worry about because I would never break your heart, ever!” said Kiro. He pressed his lips against hers. “I will come to Dallas and win her over,” he added.

Emma smiled. “I would love that,” she said.

Emma returned to Dallas in Kiro’s private jet. He was a bit reluctant to send her back but Emma didn’t mind. She wanted his parents to take some time to think about her and Kiro getting married. Emma also wanted to go back and talk to her family about it.

Madison was already at Emma’s house when she arrived. Emma had called her from the private jet and told her to wait for her at her home.

“How was Dallas?” Emma’s mother asked when she arrived.

“It was fine,” Emma replied. Cynthia and Mia rushed downstairs to greet their sister.

“What did you bring us back?” Cynthia asked. Emma smiled and shook her head. It was so typical of Cynthia.

“We need to talk,” Emma said to them. She sat her mother, sisters and Madison down in the living room.

“You look so serious,” Cynthia pointed out. Emma nodded.

“It is serious what I am about to talk to you about.”

“Are you pregnant?” Mia joked.

“She would need a man for that,” Cynthia replied. The two of them laughed.

“I would like to get married,” Emma said.

“What?” everyone spat out at the same time.

“To who?” Mia asked.

“Kiro. Crown Prince Kiro Besada of El Sourial.”

“You’re not making sense.”

Emma told them everything that had happened from the beginning, including the kidnap attempt. Her sisters and her mother stared at her in shock.

“All this was happening and you didn’t say anything?” Mia asked Emma.
