“What?” Emma breathed. She stared at him wide-eyed. Kiro smiled at her.
“I said that I love you,” he said. Emma clung to his shirt.
“I love you too.” She stood on her toes and pressed her lips to his.
“I see you have courage now,” Kiro teased. Emma giggled and shook her head.
“I always had it,” she said.

The king’s menhad been interrogating the masked man for some time but he wasn’t saying anything. The king had grown tired of waiting, so he went into the interrogation room himself. Kiro followed his father in.
“I have no time for this,” the king said. “If you don’t start talking, I will cut you myself.”
The king was known for his no-nonsense personality. He was quite short-tempered. So it wasn’t surprising when the man started talking.
“I guess I will die either way,” he said. His voice was a little shaky. Clearly the king’s appearance had had an effect on him. “We were sent by the king of Al Habuara,” he said.
“What?” Kiro spat out. The king ran his hand through his grey hair.
“The king of Al Habuara sent you to abduct my son. Why?” the king asked.
“He wants the El Sama.”
Kiro shook his head. El Sama was their territory. It was not that big but it had recently been discovered that it had a lot of oil.
“Take him into custody,” the king said to the guards. They bowed their heads and took the man into custody.
“This is unbelievable. They came after me twice just because of our land?” said Kiro.
“Fine, if that’s how he wants to conduct things. Bring his son to me.”
Kiro whipped his head in his father’s direction. “You want to kidnap the crown prince of Al Habuara?” he asked his father.
“Yes. That is what I want and there better be no mistakes.”
