“I am only worth five dollars,” she said and burst into laughter. Daya laughed with her.

“I thought I would find something scandalous about him but I could not find anything. He’s either a good man as your father says he is or he pays everyone to keep his secrets.”

“Probably the latter explanation. I can’t see a guy in his position having a squeaky clean record.”

“You are right.”

“Speaking of Joseph,” said Olivia. She told Daya everything that had happened earlier. Daya buried her head in her hands before bursting into laughter.

“You cannot avoid him. Maybe he is your soulmate,” she said. Olivia rose to her feet.

“I highly doubt it. We are not compatible and I am not complaining.” She headed into her room.

The next morning, Olivia helped Daya pack her clothes and then escorted her to the airport. Sheikh Solomon had his driver take them.

Olivia and Daya walked into the airport with their arms linked. Olivia felt sad that Daya was leaving. It wasn’t going to be easy without her. She was going to have to argue with her evil half-sisters by herself. She was also not going to be able to see Daya’s father. She prayed that he would get a donor soon.

“Have a safe journey back,” Olivia said to Daya.

“Have a safe stay here,” Daya joked. “That house is like a battlefield.”

Olivia laughed.

“It’s Rania and Marina that need to be scared of me. I grew up in Atlanta, and you don’t mess with a woman from the South,” she said and smiled. Daya laughed.

“I know,” she said and snapped her fingers. Daya and Olivia hugged once more. Daya went off to board her plane.

Olivia walked out of the airport. As she was heading towards Sheikh Solomon’s car, she heard someone calling her name. She turned around and saw Jasmine. Olivia raised her eyebrows. Jasmine was the last person she expected to run into. Olivia smiled and waved.

Jasmine was much taller than Olivia. She was slim but her figure was curvy. She wore a pair of white trousers and a sky-blue blouse. Her long silky hair was not tied up. Jasmine was quite beautiful. She approached Olivia and stood in front of her. “Hello Olivia,” she said.

“Hi, Jasmine,” Olivia replied.

“Are you here to meet someone?”

“No. My friend was leaving for Atlanta.”

“Daya?”

“You remember her name.” Olivia smiled. Jasmine returned her smile.

“Are you in a rush?” she asked.

“No, why?”

“Let’s have some coffee,” Jasmine said and started walking into the airport. Olivia took a deep breath before she followed. She wondered why Jasmine wanted to have coffee with her. So far, none of the females that Olivia had met in Lebanon had been friendly to her.

Olivia and Jasmine went into a small café inside the airport. They ordered their coffee before they sat down. The café was nice. Each table was a different color. There were paintings hung on the wall. It was an interesting café.

“So, how are you?” Jasmine asked.

“I’m well. How are you?” Olivia was just waiting for Jasmine to tell her why she wanted to talk.

“I’m fine.” Jasmine smiled. She took a sip of her coffee.

“Are you meeting someone?” Olivia attempted to make small talk.
