Within a minute, no hint of hell’s entrance remained.
And nothing of Razr was left to bury, mourn, or remember.
Rael stood next to me, holding onto a pike. I had no idea where he found it. “I was gonna place his head on here and let you swing a bat at it. It could have been fun.”
I snorted. “Maybe.”
“But we waited long enough. We’ll just find another sick fuck to put on the pike.”
“Rael.”
“Yeah, pres?”
“Give me a hug, you sick fuck.”
He laughed, slapped my back, and then his smile disappeared.
It sank in as he backed away. “Now, pres, I said I was sorry about Trish.”
“And if you let your Reaper take control, you won’t feel much pain.”
Rael turned to Mammoth. “Is he serious?”
Mammoth tried to hide his humor. “Yeah, I think so.”
“Better run, Rael,” I warned.
He took off, got about ten steps away, and then stopped. “Shit. You had me there for a minute.”
I sure did. “Don’t ever change, brother.”
Rael sauntered back to my side. “Never, pres.”
