“You’ve convinced me.” If she heard more sexy chatter from him, she’d jump his fit physique and they’d die from heat exposure and too much fucking. “I’ll do you later. I want you to activate your devouring plans. Now.”

“Humans are impatient.” His chest shook. The male was laughing at her.

“Humans also walk too slowly.” The caves remained frustratingly far away. She would detonate before they reached there. “I have a need for speed, my cyborg.” She turned to face him. “Show your impatient human how fast you can go.”

She liked it when he carried her. That speed combined with the show of his strength turned her on.

“We’ll break land records this planet rotation, my female.” He scooped her into his arms, handling her as though she weighed less than her handheld, and he dashed forward.

The boulders and sand dunes blurred around them. The wind tousled her simulated hair. She kicked her booted feet and called out encouragement as her cyborg raced with her toward the caves.

His chest heaved. His muscles flexed and released all around her. A smile curved his lips.

The male was almost dauntingly handsome. The power in his form exceeded that of any engine she could design. He listened to her, supported her, and gave her hope for the future.

She trusted him. And she put her faith in very few beings.

She also cared for the male. Too much for her comfort. Because the Plan to blow up the Invaders and their machine would put him, her, and everyone on her team in danger.

But she would think about that later. At the moment, she reveled in the speed of his movements. And the brush of his body against hers.

“Faster.” She urged him forward. “Let’s go faster.”

“Can’t.” He skidded to a stop with her, and she smacked against his arms. “We’re here.”

They’d reached the caves in mere moments.

“We must’ve beaten land records.” She doubted her mounted transport could’ve matched his pace.

“Regretfully, no. We missed it by sixteen heartbeats.” He carried her more leisurely into the cave.

She wiggled against him. “Was it the hard-on?” The bulge in his body armor hadn’t deflated. “I bet the other being wasn’t running with a massive erection.”

“He also wasn’t carrying the most beautiful being in the universe.” Drift grinned at her. “He wasn’t as fortunate as I am.”

Her face heated. Her cyborg said the most wonderful things. “We can try for the record again later.” She met his gaze. “Going fast turns me on.”

He inhaled. “I smell your arousal, my female.” He moved with her to the sleeping support. “And I plan to feast on you.”

Fates. “I plan to be feasted on.” She reclined on the soft surface. “We didn’t check the energy levels.”

“The levels are within human-acceptable ranges.” He removed her boots. “And there were no movements detected.” Her cyborg lifted her right foot and kissed her sole. “I accessed your system remotely.”

She tried to pull her foot away from him. “I’m dirty.”

“You’re perfect.” He smacked his lips against her other sole.

“Is this a cyborg thing?” She eyed him with interest and an unseemly amount of excitement. “Does dirt not bother your kind?”

“Nothing much bothers my kind.” Drift shrugged. “And you’re my female.” He said that as though it explained everything. “Do you not like having your feet kissed?”

“I like it. Too much.” She admitted to that quirk. “And I’m dirty all over.”

“I’ll kiss you all over.” He unfastened her flight suit.

The tension around her chest immediately eased as the built-in binding was loosened.

He pulled the garment down to her hips. “You’ve damaged yourself.” He frowned at her.
