“Wh...what?” His eyes were full of desire as his fingers moved to his shoulder. “What if I don’t want to?”

I cradled his head in my hands. “You like that I marked you.”

Blake nodded, and I had the urge to do it again. A territorial urge to mark him, claim him, and make sure everyone knew that Blake Duncan belonged to me. That he was mine.

“Tell me how you feel about me, Bug.”

“I-I... I love you.” He whimpered as I dragged my tongue over his lips.

I groaned when as I felt his hard dick graze mine. “Again.”

“I love you, Tommy.”

I captured Blake’s mouth with mine. Our tongues tangled, and our teeth clashed as his fingers dug into my shoulders. Our afternoon was supposed to be what we always did. Goofing around, laughing, and doing nothing together. Instead, it turned into kisses, and coming together, naked in my shower. Confessing we loved one another.

Blake chased my mouth when I pulled back.

“What? Did I do something wrong?”

“No,” I assured him. I saw the disappointment in his face as he turned away from me. “Bug, hey.” I cupped his face in my hands.

Blake shook his head. “I like kissing you.” He gave me a bashful smile. “It feels so different.”

“Different how?”

“Good, right, perfect.”

I did love him, because my heart leaped inside my chest at his words. This was either going to be the dumbest thing I had ever done with him or the best.

“Me, too.” I nodded. “I just thought I could help wash you.”

His eyes lit up with happiness. “I think I’d like that.”

“Good.” I released him so I could grab the shampoo. “We’ll start with your hair first and go from there. Turn around.”

When he did, I squirted the soap into my hands and began to work it in.

Chapter Six

Tommy

Neither of us spoke on the way back to my house. Blake took the rental car, and no one even seemed surprised that we were leaving together. I suppose they shouldn’t be. Even Jackson gave me a knowing smile as I said goodbye to him and Maverick. It felt normal to be riding with Blake again. Just two friends hanging out like we used to. When I reached for his hand in the car to thread our fingers together, I expected him to push me away. When he didn’t, I felt my heart rattle against my chest.

Once back at the house, Blake followed behind me inside, upstairs, and to my room, where he stopped in the doorway to slowly look around. “It looks different.”

“Well, I couldn’t have hockey things on the wall reminding me of what could have been.”

I let my gaze move down his body. His white shirt clung to his torso and hugged his broad chest. He looked better than I remembered. All man and muscle tucked into the most amazing person I had ever met.

“You can come inside. I won’t bite.”

Blake’s green eyes landed on me, and a blush crept up his neck. Oops, guess we both know that’s not true. “Sure, okay.” He stepped into the room, then sat down on my desk chair. “You said you had something to show me?”

“I do.” I nodded, then stepped to my closet to drag out the box. “Here.” I shoved it at him without an explanation.

Blake’s brows dipped. “What is this?” he asked, but when he removed the top and started to dig through my memories of us, I saw tears shimmer in his eyes before he blinked them away. “You saved all of this?” He held up a piece of paper that he had scribbled lyrics down on. Lyrics I knew for a fact he had turned into a song he wrote with Killian for Mulligan’s first album.

“Looks that way,” I said as leaned on the edge of the desk next to him. “There’s a lot of good stuff in there.”
