“Why?” she whispered.

“I didn’t want anyone else.”

“Oh, Levi.” She put her hand on his cheek and laughed.

“Why are you laughing?”

“Because I haven’t been with anyone since you, either.”

Levi turned his head and kissed her palm. “Good,” he murmured, his breath warm against her hand.

He ripped open the packet, then when he saw her watching him, handed her the condom. She smiled and rolled it down slowly over his hard shaft, stroking him as she did so. He pushed her onto her back, gently, and parted her legs, playing with her swollen flesh. She thrust up her hips, seeking more contact.

He slid a finger inside her, then two, pushing them in and out, his thumb playing with her most sensitive part until she was writhing and moaning. “Levi, now. I want you now.”

And then he was there, his welcome weight pushing her deeper into the mattress, his cock probing until he slid home in a deep thrust. She gasped, adjusting to him and then he kissed her, still buried inside her.

Dana arched her back as he began to move, meeting each of his thrusts, wrapping her legs tightly around his hips, her hands clutching his butt, pulling him even closer. Her orgasm built until she thought she’d die. Finally, on the verge of screaming, she came so hard she felt as if she’d burst into a thousand pieces, her cry lost when he kissed her mouth. Seconds later, Levi said her name and with one last driving push, exploded deep inside her.

Chapter Eight

Dana lost count of the times she and Levi made love during the night. It was amazing. She could almost call it magical, but that was hyperbole. Wasn’t it?

But now it was morning and back to real life. Levi was snuggled up behind her, his arm across her chest, his hand cupping one breast. He kissed her ear and murmured, “I know you’re awake.”

She rolled over to face him. He looked ridiculously sexy for first thing in the morning. The stubbled face gave him a rakish air that the devilish expression in his eyes only added to. Damn, she’d missed him. More than she’d thought possible. “I guess we can’t say, ‘Oops we made a mistake’ and avoid each other this time, huh?”

Levi laughed. “Looks like. We’re stuck with each other, at least for the duration.”

For the duration. Don’t think any farther ahead than the next few days. She could do that, couldn’t she? “Do you mind?”

“Are you kidding? You can ask me that after last night?”

“Good sex has never been our problem.”

“Amazing sex.”

Her lips twitched. “It is, isn’t it? But that isn’t the point. How are we going to do this?”

“We start with this.” He kissed her. “And then we do this.” He rolled her on top of him. “Or maybe this.” He rolled them back over until he was on top. Grinning down at her, he cupped her bare breast and caressed it. “Add some of this—”

“Stop,” she told him laughing. “Seriously, Levi. What are we going to do?”

He rolled onto his back, leaving her on top again. “Have you ever thought that maybe we’ve been too serious? Too worried about the future? Why can’t we just enjoy each other’s company without worrying what’s going to happen?”

“Enjoy each other’s company? You mean, like have sex.”

“Definitely. But that’s not all. We do have some things in common. We like the same kind of music.”

“True.”

“We like the same type of movies. Mostly.”

Dana laughed out loud at that one. “No we don’t. I like scary movies and you won’t watch them at all.”

“Minor point. There are other types of movies we both like.”

She started to argue but decided it didn’t matter. “Don’t you think we need to talk about the past? We never really did.”
