“Cover your bits and danglers, I have clothes,” Amelia called out, staying a respectful distance away. Kala’s low growl dared her to come closer.

“It’s okay, baby boy. That’s my cousin, Amelia. I’ll introduce you to her properly after we’re clothed. Drop the clothes and we will get them.”

“Yep, right? Anything to stay away from the alien killer. They call the purple people eaters monsters. They’ve never seen their pets.”

“Amelia!” Jenna wanted to chastise her and laugh at the same time. Hadn’t she thought of them as purple people eaters more than once?

“I’m out.”

“I’m so.” She stopped when realizing that SaKura had one arm around his front and the other over his mouth, trying to hold his laughter. “That’s my cousin, Amelia. You might not remember her with all that’s happened recently.”

He finally sat up straight. “She has a lovely dry humor.”

“I think she’s a pain in the rear, but whatever. Where’s Kala going?” He went to retrieve the bag. Kala took the handles into his mouth and pulled the bag back to them.

“You're wicked smart baby boy and mommy loves you.”

“Why don’t you have a pet?” SaKura was putting on the loincloth Rakha sent. Jenna was putting on a pair of shorts and a top. She noticed Bella had sent no underclothes, but the top was one she got from Rakha that would support the weight of her chest.

“I’ve never had a home. A place where I knew I could raise a cat or a dog.” She sounded sad. “Now I have Kala. Why would I need another pet?”

This relationship amazed her. Somehow, without understanding what was happening, she fell into it. Now she was fighting with herself, asking if she should allow this in her life. Who allowed themselves to fall into a relationship without initially realizing it? Was it a thing that adults did unconsciously? There was always some strange question needing to be answered in her life.

“What happened to me?” That was the more important question. She was sure she was going to die. Why was she still alive?

“I happened to you. We can go home and talk, or would you feel more comfortable if your sister was around? We can go to Bella and Rakha’s domicile.”

No, was the right response. She didn’t want Bella caught up in this. That was silly. Jenna was in this mess because of Bella. “Yes. Let’s go to Bella’s.” The fact that he referred to the domicile as Bella’s and Rakha’s was a plus in his favor. She had been so sure that he was going to act like a spoiled prince who wanted everyone around to wait on him. She thought he wouldn’t have time for a female, seeing her as nothing but a babymaker. Someone to get the next prince or princess from and then she’d die, and he’d be off to another conquest. That’s not the male he appeared to be. The jury was still out, but she now believed he differed from her first impression of him.

They took their time walking to the house, giving Amelia time to tell everyone about Kala. Jenna figured Rakha already knew, but he would need time to calm Bella down.

The low hum of the doorbell rang when they approached, and then the door opened, letting them in.

“We’re in the living room,” Bella called out. “Thad and Cleo are in the kitchen making the two of you something to eat and bringing snacks for the baby,” Bella said, the last part in a higher voice. Feminine and masculine laughter came from the kitchen, letting her know they heard her.

“Neither of you had better sit on my couch. Super-duper senses suck when it comes to smell.” Bella pointed down the hall to the guestroom.

“She’s politely saying we need to wash our behinds before we’re allowed on the furniture.” Kala’s low growl had Bella jumping onto Rakha’s lap as she tried not to look panicked.

“I’ll introduce Kala,” Rakha said.

“Do you remember Rakha?” SaKura was crouched next to Kala. “Brother and friend.” He was talking in his native language, but Jenna had the translator chip. Amelia didn’t have one. She was sure they were from the devil and devised to lead them to hell.

Kala approached Rakha with slow steps. Within minutes of scenting him, they were rolling around on the floor. SaKura gave a disgusted grunt.

“He is a Draxar, a trained ferocious animal, not a house pet.” He glared at his brother before turning to face Jenna. “Shower?”

Jenna laughed. She couldn’t help herself. Any male who could make her laugh and not tremble in fear was someone special in her book. SaKura was behind her, and she wasn’t scared or hunched over, waiting for the first blow to come. Although she would never advocate for every human to find herself a Diza male, she was happy that one found her. She was happy. It was such a miraculous thing to say. When she and Bella left the sperm donor’s house, it wasn’t happiness that greeted her; it was a relief. Maybe she could have been happy and there had to be times of the feeling in her life. Most of the time, they were afraid of being tracked down and dragged back.

She stepped into the shower with SaKura. He placed a hand on her hip giving her a chance to say no. She’d never gotten frisky in a shower.

“One day we’ll have to take our time and do this in a bed.” She kissed him before the words she spoke were off her lips and teasing his ears. He pulled her close before picking her up. She wrapped her legs around his hips. It was easier to kiss this way. He didn’t need to bend, and she wasn’t on her toes looking for extra height.

SaKura’s tongue dominated her mouth, making her want more. She wiggled in his arms, the heat and warm water helping her gain momentum.

“I love how you kiss.” Jenna was gasping for air now that they had broken apart. His kisses made her forget the need to breathe. His sexy growl answered her words.

His head went to her neck, licking the place he bit when they first came together. He scented the spot and took time to lick it, but moved on, aware they were in the shower. His hand played over her back while he took a nipple into his mouth.
