I cackled at this and Savic shook his head, a mixture of worry and resignation on his face. “I’m serious. Please tread lightly, boss. This could end up causing more harm than good.”

I chuckled softly, my smile widening. “Oh, I am well aware of the risks, my friend. But you know me, when I want something, I find a way to get it. One way or another.”

Chapter 3 - Ashley

I was working on my laptop when once again I heard a familiar voice coming from my closet. I looked up and smiled when my younger cousin, Vivian, poked her head out with a mischievous smile on her face.

“Vivi, what are you up to now?” I called.

She came out of my walk-in wardrobe, her big, sparkling blue eyes, remarkably like mine, shining with joy as she twirled around in one of my dresses. Her short, brown hair bounced with each spin.

“Ashley, I know I told you I wouldn’t when I come over today, but I just couldn't resist trying on your clothes. You have the coolest style!” she exclaimed; her enthusiasm was contagious.

“Where did you get this dress? It’s insanely gorgeous, Ash! The vibes … The vibes are everything.”

I giggled at my cousin’s bubbly enthusiasm. “The vibes?”

She was only eighteen years old and would be heading off to college in the fall. She had always surprisingly been in awe of my fashion choices and lifestyle and never fails to remind me of it.

We have developed a special bond, and she visits me occasionally. We get along like two peas in a pod, and her visits are something I always look forward to.

“Vivi, I’ve told you, you already have your own unique style, “shaking my head, I continued to giggle. “It’s time you stopped piggybacking on my ‘vibes’.”

I swatted her as she twirled through the room in one of my dresses.

“Oh please, Ash. I desperately need to piggyback on your vibes for the rest of my life. I’ve never once seen anyone rock a dress like you.”

I grinned as she posed in the mirror, making ugly faces at her reflection. “Oh, stop it.”

“College is the perfect time to explore and express yourself through fashion. You’ll figure it out.”

She pouted.

“But, if you still want some tips or advice when the time comes, I'm happy to help.”

Vivian's eyes widened as she squealed. “Really, Ash? I was going to ask, but I’m so glad you offered. That would be awesome, thank you!”

She was just such a happy-go-lucky girl. “Well, just so you know, I do believe you know how to rock a dress yourself, Vivi.”

“But remember, it's not just about the clothes. It's about the confidence you wear them with. Don’t let yourself get too focused on fabrics.”

Vivian nodded eagerly. “I know, Ashley. You always say that. You inspire me to be confident in my own skin.”

My heart swelled with pride. Being a positive influence on my young cousin’s life was something I cherished. “That's what family is for, Vivi. We support and uplift each other. So, tell me, which outfit is your favorite so far?”

A guilty look crossed her face and I smirked. “Thought I hadn’t noticed how long you’ve been in my wardrobe, huh?”

“Well…”

I waited. “It’s fine, Vivi. Which outfit did you like best?”

“Well, since you’re okay with it…” Vivian giggled and spun around. “This dress … I love it!”

It was one of my favorites, a navy blue, knee-length sheath dress, its subtle sweetheart neckline embellished with delicate pearl accents.

“You want it?”

Vivian’s eyes looked like they would burst out of their sockets. “You mean it?”
