“I want someone who can keep up with me,” is her response and my lips crash down on hers, claiming her mouth and enjoying the taste of her. The feel of those lips, the soft sound that spills out of her as I tug a little harder at her hair.

“I can keep up with you just fine, Sweetheart. It’s going to be you that needs to keep up with me. And perhaps you’d better finish reading that contract before I go about showing you exactly what it is I’m going to expect of you each and every night.” I punctuate my words with kisses to the side of her neck, making her gasp.

For a moment I think she’s going to say something else but then she seems to change her mind. “This number, for the allowance, is per month?”

“Per week,” I reply, making my way back to my spot on the couch, and her eyes widen even more. But this time in surprise.

“This is a lot of money.”

I shrug at that. “I want you well taken care of. And I want to ensure that you have everything that you need.”

“It’s,” she seems like she’s going to protest and then thinks better of it. And really, who would protest getting more money than they expect from a contract?

“Is there anything else?”

A brief hesitation and then she shakes her head. “No.”

“I’ve already signed the last page,” I tell her, gesturing toward the document in her hand. She flips to it, her gaze tracing over my signature like she’s not quite sure what to do. But I wait.

She’ll sign it.

She didn’t come this far to change her mind now.

And she seems to realize that as well.

I can see the exact moment that her shoulders pull back slightly. Her lips set a little more firmly.

“I need a pen.”

“Here you go, Sweetheart,” I reply, moving closer, invading her space, wanting to be as close as I possibly can to her.

But it doesn’t seem to faze her this time. She looks up at me with that even expression and takes the pen from my hand. And then I watch her sign on the dotted line and become mine.

“There. Done.”

“Ah, don’t think of it like a business transaction, Sweetheart. I want this to be fun,” I murmur, leaning down to kiss just behind her ear, making another shiver race through her.

“Fun? Hmm, well, I suppose we could try that.” She’s taunting me and I know it. After everything that we’ve already done together the idea that she honestly doesn’t believe we’ll be having fun with the sex is ridiculous.

“I’ll have you screaming for it every night. From now on,” I promise and I can see the way her eyes heat.

She definitely wants it. And my rock-hard body is telling me that I do, too.

I move to kiss her again and she suddenly slides out from under me. “Sorry, gotta get going. I’ve got work today and my boss can be a real ass when people are late.”

There’s that sparkle in her eye again and I feel my body respond immediately. “Maybe you should quit.”

“I think that would give him entirely too much pleasure. And I’d rather make him sweat it out.” She gives me a little smirk and a wave and just like that she’s out the door. Leaving me with a hard-on and no good way to get rid of it.

“Damn that girl,” I practically growl at myself, shaking my head and stalking back toward my room. But I pick up the contract on the way, glancing over her signature on that last page.

No worries. I’ll get her tonight. And tonight I plan to make her beg for it.

Chapter Eight ~ Emma

As I slip into the front seat of my car I wonder just what I’ve gotten myself into.

Is this really what I want to do?
