“Maya,” Vikram, her boss, came into her cabin. “We have some issue at Motwani's Advertisement shoot. It seems our models have been suddenly asked to wrap up from there.”

“Wrap up? Why?”

“I am still getting the details. But I want you to go there and check what's wrong.”

“On my way,” she picked up her car keys. “I will keep you posted.”

Motwani was one aggressive client they had been dealing with for the past two years. He ran a perfume factory, and whatever marketing they had been doing so far used Blitz Models only. She had received many complaints from her models about the over-rising demands of Motwani's staff whenever they were sent to shoot for their ads. Somehow each of them had been tackled without any escalation. But it looked like this time he had really managed to piss the models off.

Shooting Location

The advertisement was being shot at a famous five-star hotel. The setup was made at the swimming area where the shoot was currently at a halt. Maya greeted her models and then heard out their problem.

“They are suddenly changing the costumes. Motwani's team sprang two-piece swimsuits on us last minute instead of the agreed sarongs,” Kate explained, clearly frustrated. “This isn't the first wardrobe switch they've demanded either. We didn't want to overstep without approval, so we asked to consult the agency. Motwani blew up, asking us to leave if we won't obey him.”

Maya understood her point and approached Motwani to address her models' concerns about his inappropriate last-minute demands.

“Good evening, Mr. Motwani. I am Maya Bajaj from Blitz.”

Motwani immediately became hostile. “If you're here to make excuses for those ungrateful models, don't waste my time.”

Maya stayed calm and professional. “I'm here to discuss this rationally, not argue. Until we communicate, we can't find a solution.”

“Your models refused my orders,” Motwani exploded. “I pay you beggars for service.”

Maya bristled at his derogatory tone.

“Mr. Motwani, Blitz is a modeling company, and we have dealt with many international clients. You are one of them. You pay us because we provide you our best service. There is some glitch here I do understand, and as far as I see this, it is not from Blitz's side but yours. You and your associates keep changing your requirements.”

As Maya firmly outlined Blitz's position, Motwani grew increasingly irate at being confronted.

“Also, let me remind you that once the client signs the contract with Blitz, they are not allowed to change the requirements without prior approval from our side, which you have clearly ignored.”

When she finished, he advanced on her menacingly. Maya retreated warily.

“Don't lecture me about contracts,” Motwani snarled. His lecherous gaze raked over her. “Maybe I'll make you model those outfits instead and teach you some manners.”

The moment he uttered this, someone stood as a pillar between her and Motwani, and she heard the sound of a tight slap.

“How dare you talk to her like that?” Ranveer growled.

Maya was clueless. What was he doing here? Maybe he had some work in this hotel and he heard her conversation with Motwani. But the slap? He slapped Motwani?

Motwani seemed pretty shaken and confused about why Ranveer slapped him for an unknown woman. But he didn’t argue or fight back. Obviously, he knew the power Ranveer Malhotra had to destroy people like him. He got up from the floor, holding the cheek where the sting of Ranveer’s slap was still hurting him.

“Ranveer?”

Ranveer held his collar.

“You will apologize to her. Now,” he shouted again.

Motwani gave a scrambled stare at Ranveer and then a fearful glance towards Maya. He still had no idea what was happening and why. Maya kept her gaze on the two men. Was his interference necessary?

“I am sorry,” Motwani stammered.

Maya didn’t say anything. She had no words for such a pathetic man. Ranveer let go of Motwani’s collar and pushed him away.

“Now get the hell out of here.”
