Aman stood nervously as Ranveer received the logs in an email from Laura within a minute. The logs provided him with the coordinates of all the locations Maya had been to since morning. One of them included the bank, from where the transfer request of almost 10 million dollars had been made from his account, requiring his approval first.

“She's still at Malik Villa,” Aman informed Ranveer while tracing Maya's current whereabouts.

Ranveer grabbed his car keys and headed out. He would go there and resolve this matter once and for all.

Malik Villa

“You cheat. What the hell were you planning to do behind Ranveer's back?” Maya shouted angrily at Kunal, who showed no signs of surprise at her visit.

“Maya, lower your anger, baby. You'll faint otherwise, using up all your energy,” he remarked casually.

“I am not your baby. Stop calling me that,” she growled in response.

Kunal chuckled, but then his expression turned serious.

“It's time for celebration, Maya. After all, you got what you wanted,” he said cheerfully, pouring a drink for her and offering it, but she declined.

“You sought revenge on Ranveer Malhotra for whatever he did to you in the past. That man deserved this, didn’t he? Poor lad, wouldn’t even know that his innocent-looking wife was falsely portraying love to him while secretly siphoning off his property and money,” Kunal continued.

Maya's palms twitched, itching to slap him for fabricating false stories with no basis. She would have done so but she sensed her husband's presence nearby. She turned around to find Ranveer Malhotra standing there, his jaw stiff and his eyes piercing through her body as if demanding answers for her presence in here without his consent.

Ranveer strode inside Malik Villa bristling with anger. Maya was relieved to see him but worried about his fury, especially with her here confronting Kunal.

Ranveer held some papers. Her eyes met his, bracing for his temper. She knew he was incensed to find her here. But why was he here? How did he know?

“The deceived husband of a loveless wife arrives,” Kunal taunted.

Maya was infuriated by his slander but had to conserve energy for Ranveer.

“Why are you here?” Ranveer barked at her.

Before she could respond, Kunal interjected, “To celebrate her joy.”

Ranveer threatened Kunal to be silent with a glare. Kunal just smirked, eager to watch the drama unfold.

Maya's eyes welled up seeing Ranveer's unspoken questions and madness. He showed her the papers. “Did you sign these?” he demanded.

Remembering that the papers Advocate Sinha had her sign earlier were now in Ranveer's possession, she felt relieved. “Yes,” she affirmed.

Ranveer clenched his jaw. “You're sure?”

“Yes, why are you asking?”

“Because I can't believe you signed them,” he snapped.

Perplexed by his distress, she wondered if she shouldn't have signed them.

“Come on, Ranveer,” Kunal cut in. “She's your wife. She has rights on all your properties. Does it matter if she owns them now or you? I don't think so.”

“Your properties?” Maya interrupted. “These were all yours? The lawyer said they were your mother's, and she had written them off to your wife in her last Will.”

“What a lie,” Kunal laughed.

Ranveer didn’t utter a word.

“I don’t understand why are you lying to him now?” Kunal poked Maya. “It’s okay if he has heard everything. If you think he will hurt you, he cannot. Why don’t you tell him that this was all your plan right from the beginning, right from the sudden approval for your marriage?”

Ranveer was silent, seething. Maya wished she could slap Kunal for his fake story. She had lied to him, not Ranveer. She never wanted revenge, not even in her dreams.
