“You'll be a gorgeous, kissable bride, trust me. I'll help you put on the sari myself.”

She had never seen her mother this happy before.

“Ranveer's grandmother called, she's arriving early tomorrow morning,” Garima updated her.

“Yes, I spoke with her too,” Maya replied.

“Good. Now get some rest. Tomorrow is a big day. I've asked Pammi to join us.”

“Of course, Pammi aunty is invited.”

“And the Maliks?” Garima asked.

“I don't know, Mom. Ranveer would've handled that guest list,” Maya deferred.

Garima sighed. “He's not fond of his stepfamily, I know. But they're still family. I hope he invited them.”

Maya didn't want to push Ranveer on the matter. He knew best who he wanted at their wedding.

The Wedding Day - Court

“We could've done this at home, Aman. Why didn't you tell Roy to get the registrar to come at Paradise?” Ranveer grumbled on their way to the court.

Aman turned at Dhruv, since it had been his idea.

“Bro,” Dhruv explained patiently from the backseat, “This is how weddings happen - at court. You and Maya will get the full experience, I promise.”

Ranveer rolled his eyes at the silly logic. “And why isn't Maya riding with us?”

“Laura, Aisha, Garima aunty, Pammi aunty is with her. You'll see her at court,” Dhruv replied.

“That's my point - why meet at court? I haven't seen her since she accepted my proposal yesterday,” Ranveer complained.

Dhruv laughed at his brother's impatience. “Bro, you really need to control your hormones. Don't want to scare her off already.”

Aman stifled a chuckle as Dhruv guffawed loudly at lovesick Ranveer. He'd never seen his brother so eager to be wed before.

At court, Daadi was already waiting with her guards when they arrived. Ranveer had sent men to pick her up from the airport and bring her there directly. Her eyes misted seeing him ready to tie the knot. He bent down for her blessing and she cupped his face, kissing his forehead.

“You look so handsome today,” she murmured. “Your father would be so proud.”

Dhruv waited respectfully as they had their moment. He always appreciated how affectionately Daadi treated Ranveer, wishing he could have that from her too. But it had never happened, given her resentment of his mother for marrying Dev Malik. Dhruv didn't complain or act bitter, just tried to be friendly despite her distance.

They entered the court and Ranveer's gaze immediately found Maya. She was a vision chatting with her mother, draped in a vivid red sari that complemented her complexion perfectly. As the others approached, Ranveer halted at the door, drinking in every inch of his breathtaking bride. Oblivious, she had no idea the effect she had on him in that moment.

He watched as Maya embraced Daadi warmly and took her blessing. When she turned to introduce her mother to Daadi, their eyes finally met. Maya's heart skipped a beat and she involuntarily sucked in a soft gasp. She was equally affected seeing him today, devastatingly handsome in his sharp suit. This was really happening - they were getting married. That itself was an enormous change they would have to adjust to.

Ranveer gave her a heart-stopping smile as he joined her side. She nervously bit her lip, color rising in her cheeks. Her heart signaling mix of emotions - excitement, uncertainty, and an unexpected simmering desire. He took her hand reassuringly, sensing her unease. His familiar, comforting touch grounded her again.

“Boss, the registrar has called us in,” Aman notified them.

Garima escorted Maya inside while Daadi led Ranveer. As Maya took the pen to sign the marriage certificate, the weight of the moment suddenly hit her. She was really doing this - tying herself legally to Ranveer Malhotra. Her hand froze over the paper as a swirl of emotions rushed through her. Was she ready for this? Could she be everything he needed in a wife? She glanced at her mother, as if seeking reassurance that she was making the right choice. Garima gave an encouraging nod and smile.

With a deep breath, Maya put pen to paper, signing her name beside Ranveer's. There was no going back now.

When it was his turn, Ranveer stared down at the certificate in wonderment. Marriage had never been part of his plans, yet here he was, about to claim this woman as his lawful wife. It was almost unbelievable. His signature came out a bit shaky at first before he steadied his hand.

Looking up, his eyes met Maya's. Seeing the hint of apprehension there, he gave her a smile infused with confidence. They were in this together now. He would make sure she never regretted this leap of faith with him. Everyone applauded as the registrar pronounced them officially married and formalized the legal papers.
