“Tavi…” Sam rolled over to me. “Are you two okay with this whole marriage thing? It doesn’t mean that I love him more than you, but I’m not measuring it or comparing.”

“You love us?” Caesar asked.

“Do you think you’d be here in your place if I didn’t after what I saw.” She giggled.

“Fair point,” I admitted. “I am. Will you wear our ring one day, too?”

“Yes, please.” Sam rested her head on my shoulder. “Hold me, Tavi.”

I held her tightly in my arms until she fell asleep. She held Caesar’s hand, and she entangled their legs.

I knew right then she’d fucked us. There was no letting Sam go. She was just for us.

Epilogue

A few weeks later…

TAVI

“It worked,” Domino said over the video call. “They left that body in that parking lot, and it pissed him off. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen him that mad.”

“You watched?” Caesar asked.

“Yeah, I know you sent me the video, but I had to verify it with my own two eyes. It’s my father. He’s back from the dead and trying to tear everything apart. He won’t be back to the club, but make sure that y’all stay safe. It’s officially a war now, which means staying prepared for whatever is coming. Can you two handle that?”

“You know we can,” I spoke up. I didn’t need Caesar to respond. We’d been preparing since the first attack. All the things happening around the Savage Kings felt like it was personal. We knew it would affect us somehow.

“Good. I have a few things to do. Anything else?” He asked.

“No. You be careful, too, Domino. We can’t lose you.”

“Trust that I can’t have anything happening to me either. Remember, business as usual when you get back, but add security.”

“Got it,” Caesar confirmed.

“Later, then.” Domino disconnected the call and left our home office looking for Sam.

We found her in her bathroom crying.

“Baby girl…” Caesar squatted in front of her, “What’s wrong?”

She pointed to the pregnancy test on the sink, and I blinked. Immediately, I called Torin on a video call. He was at work, but I didn’t want him to miss out on whatever was going on. I showed him the test and his eyes widened.

“It’s okay, Sam. You know we’ll take care of you and the baby. Whatever needs to happen. Do you need to get baby stuff, or should we call the doctor to confirm? What do we need to do here?”

I picked up the box and looked at how to read the results. “Uh, brother, that’s not the problem. She’s not pregnant.”

“What?” He picked up the tester and yanked the box out of my hand.

“She’s crying because she’s not pregnant.” I clarified.

“Well, that’s easy.” He picked her up and took her to her bed. He started stripping, and Sam giggled through her tears.

“No, Caesar.” She sighed. “I-I didn’t want to be right now. But when I thought I was, I started thinking and dreaming then… I wasn’t. So, I’m just mourning my thoughts, I guess. It’ll happen when it’s supposed to. That doesn’t mean that I’m not sad now. Besides, Torin gets the first baby.”

“But, I could…”

“No, Caesar. It’ll be okay.” He was already leaning over her, and she pulled him into her. “We can practice as much as you want. Right now, I’m enjoying having you three to myself. I’ll have to share you for at least eighteen years. Let me have my time.”
