Jade woke up to something warm slipping back in bed beside her. She didn’t flinch, even at the sudden contact of fur against her bare back.

Ardol.

Stubborn, sweet, somewhat immature, somewhat selfish, and altogether surprising Ardol. “Is it morning, lover?”

The instant purr that rippled across her skin made her giggle.

Note to self, he loves being called lover. He likes touch.

And lately, I don’t hate it myself.

Amazing how someone who grew up so rich could grow up so destitute in terms of touch...

Jade wriggled herself back against him, deliberately hitching the skirt of her third “honeymoon nightie” all the way over her rear.

I want him to have me. He deserves it.

“Technically, it is morning, but we don’t have to get up for a few more hours,” Ardol whispered. “Sleep. Are you cold?” He pulled down the skirt she’d just raised.

“I need a big strong Felid to warm me up,” Jade moaned sleepily, stretching as she rolled to face him. Her arms lifted to twine around his neck, and their kisses came easily, faster and smoother. Passionate.

His cock was hard between them, and she stroked her hand along it.

“Jade...” a soft, strained warning.

“I want you on top of me. I’ve never been with someone as big as you,” she urged, pulling on his shoulders.

Ardol came reluctantly. “We need to stop, or I’ll forget myself.”

“I’ll do the remembering,” Jade spoke between kisses, sinking under his weight. He was like a divinely soft, thick weighted blanket. It was easy to wrap her ankles behind his calves and pull. “You’re my husband, my King. We’re supposed to do this when we both want, and I want this.”

“Why?” Ardol peered into her face.

Stupid Kitty.

Jade tried to think, biting her lip as his eyes burned into her with quiet fire. No judgment, only curiosity and tenderness in such a fierce face that was so different from the human ones she’d always known.

“I want... I want to know what it feels like to have you in me. Because...” she spoke carefully, softly, trying to piece it together and wishing he would stop asking things—and also oddly grateful because no one in the Pleasure Parks asked you anything and expected a real answer. She would be a rich woman if she had a credit for every time a man had crowed “Is that good, bitch?” in her ear while pounding her, and she knew she had to say yes even if she felt like shit and couldn’t wait for him to finish.

“Because?”

“Because I want to know what it would be like to feel something with someone that I actually like being with. I’ve never...” Jade swallowed hard, and words popped out at the end of her struggle around the lump in her throat, “I’ve never gotten to have sex with someone I loved or even liked. I wasn’t a virgin when I went to the Pleasure Park, but I didn’t have a lot of experience. None of it was great.”

“And you think that it might be good? With me?”

“You care about me.” The words hurt leaving her lips. She waited for him to throw them back or laugh. She waited to see the lie behind his eyes, but instead, he nodded eagerly, kissing her cheeks and her lips in a joyful bouquet of affection.

“I do! Jade... I have never, ever cared about anything or anyone the way I care about you. I... I love—the idea of making love with my Queen, but I still worry about how you’d feel. Physically.”

Honestly, so did she. She expected that as soon as Ardol entered her, her mind would lock down and her nerves would turn off—but she would be in his arms, feeling his softness around her, his heavy, comforting weight. She would make him happy.

I want to make him happy.

I care about him, too.

“I feel wonderful with you on top of me,” Jade whispered, stroking her hands along his face and down his wide shoulders. “I promise. Can’t your nose tell that I’m being honest?”

Ardol pressed his nose to her neck and kissed her again, letting his tongue sweep across her pulse and up to the hollow of her ear.
