“Don’t you dare,” Sam said, his voice tinged with something dark. “You think you’re the only one who can play at this game?”

“What game?” I tried to make my tone as innocent as possible. “I thought we were just enjoying each other’s company—Sam! Shit!”

Before I had a chance to finish my response, I felt Sam’s hand wrapping around my cock, his fingers pumping up and down my swollen shaft, so vigorous the motion pulled the condom away from my skin.

“Sam! Fuck!” I growled as Sam’s hand moved faster and faster across my now naked cock, moments away from sending me tumbling toward pleasure. I tried to move away from him, but every step I took he followed right behind me, still pumping my cock, still lighting every nerve I had on fire.

“Fuck! Fuck!” My words came out through gritted teeth as I felt my shaft exploding in his grip, my come spraying across his palm. When I was able to catch my breath, I noticed a triumphant smirk on Sam’s face, as if he’d finally won our little game.

I smirked, too, knowing better than that.

Knowing that Sam didn’t know what he had coming to him.

“You didn’t think this was over did you?” I gently reached for his wrist, pulling his hand up toward his face, my come toward his lips. “Because we’re just getting started, Sam.”

Sam looked over at me, a challenge behind his eyes, as he dipped his tongue out toward his own palm, casually licking my come off his skin.

I growled again, this time completely out of words. Something primal snapped inside me and I was on him all over again, my fingers and mouth everywhere. Hours passed with us like that, all over each other, me inside of him, him beside me. With every touch, something burned inside my chest, something I’d never felt before, something I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to feel…

Something that wanted to keep Sam here.

Something that wanted to keep Sam all for myself.

SAM

The Jeep from Wild Woods never showed up yesterday.

It was something I’d been desperate to ask Damon about but something I didn’t want him to think I was desperate to ask about. It was an inwardly tense situation, as I varied wildly between excitement about being near him even longer and a slight sense of despair as I thought about the fabled Jeep coming to take him away from the cabin, to take him away from me—

No.

I needed to snap out of it. It wasn’t like Damon and I had talked about having a relationship. Hell, we hadn’t even talked about being exclusive. For all I knew, he’d be hooking up with another guy as soon as he got back to Wild Woods HQ.

Which meant I needed to get it together and focus on what was in front of me.

I let out a deep groan as I looked down at my laptop, my eyes scanning through my email. Last night, I’d decided to send out my same list of questions to a bunch of A-listers, wanting to compile their answers alongside Wendi Z’s. Of course, Wendi hadn’t gotten back to me yet with her responses, but I couldn’t blame her. She was a busy woman, after all…

Or maybe she’d just decided she’d rather have the last word against her ex than an in-depth look at divorce in the public sphere. There was a good chance she was already on social media blasting him for all his faults and sins, and here I was, patiently waiting for a thoughtful response instead of a takedown.

“Any word from Wendi Z?” Damon asked, as he offered me a warm cup of coffee. “You’ve been watching your email like a hawk.”

I gratefully took the cup of coffee into my grip. “Not yet. I’m sure she’s just busy getting ready for a tour. Or ironing out the terms of her divorce. Or just ignoring me and telling all of her friends to do the same—”

“Is this you spiraling?” Damon interrupted, with a small grin.

“Maybe just a little.” I let out a nervous chuckle. “What about you? Any word about the Jeep?”

“Not since yesterday.” He shrugged. “The last update I got was that they’d been a little optimistic about the odds of the Jeep getting up there. They’ll try again when they can.”

“Sounds good,” I lied, my attention going to the indentation marks on his arms. My cheeks burned red as the memories rushed back of our time spent yesterday on the couch, the amount of pleasure flowing between us borderline unbearable. He’d only gotten the marks from the way he’d been holding me down, his arms pressed against the couch fabric as he slammed his cock into me again and again—

“So, is this your plan for today?” Damon interrupted my memories on replay. “Just sit and stare at your laptop? Waiting for an email?”

“I mean, I also planned on eating at some point. Maybe taking a nap—”

“Or you could come on a walk with me?”
