When she left, it tore me apart, and the longer she stayed away the more I thought I was growing to hate her. But it was never hate. It was always the pain of losing her and still being in love with her.

That night, two months ago, when she confessed that she was still in love with me - my entire world tore open again, like a fresh wound. I was too scared to admit it at the moment, but I knew, instantly, that everything I had ever felt for her - the only thing I'd ever felt for her - was love.

It was always love and will always be love.

In my pain, I confused it with hate in order to survive.

But now I have her back.

I've dropped my guard.

I've accepted that she is worth any risk, any pain - she is worth my life.

I brush my hand over the black tuxedo I'm wearing and push my shoulders back.

Today Amelia is going to become my wife and from now on I will spend every moment making sure she is happy - making sure that my family is safe.

I will do whatever it takes.

The music starts playing and everyone stands up on both sides of the red carpet that leads toward me., through the garden.

I see Elle stepping through the house doors, and out into the patio steps. She looks proud and so pretty in her little lace dress, covered in pink flowers.

Elle chose pink.

She said weddings have to be pink. They can't be any other color.

How can I argue with such a beautiful little face?

Elle marches happily towards me, tossing flower petals from her little basket that is slung over her arm.

But soon my eyes are drawn from her to the vision of Amelia as she steps from the house onto the patio steps with her arm linked through her father's.

He looks as proud as Elle does as he leads his daughter towards me.

Amelia looks like an angel fallen straight from heaven.

Her hair is pinned up beneath the soft white veil that is floating over her face.

I can see the smile on her lips through the sheer fabric and when she looks up her eyes catch mine and my heart thunders wildly.

She is more beautiful than ever.

Her dress is hugging her body, accentuating her curves, then splashing out in waves over her legs. - floating around her like the ocean caressing the shoreline.

She walks closer and closer and I can barely breathe.

Her father stops and lifts her veil, kissing both of her cheeks.

He turns to me and shakes my hand then takes his seat.

Amelia looks up at me and every other person in the room seems to disappear at that moment. Nothing else matters, no one else exists.

She is glowing with happiness and beauty as she stares up at me.

I hear the priest talking, but I can barely focus on the words.

Soon, he calls for my attention and I'm forced to look away from Amelia - to him.
