I’m asleep again before he makes it up to the apartment. I wake as his hard body slips into the bed beside me.

I’m about to twist, to turn and greet him.

His arms wrap and fold around me.

“Stay as you are, little wildcat. You need your rest. Let me hold you while you sleep.”

Snuggling back against him, feeling his heat and the strength of him, the tired weariness starts to drain out of me.

“Mm.” My voice is thick, “I love you for flying up here to take care of me.”

Kissing me gently, he holds me tight. Then he whispers into my ear. “I love you for being my little wildcat. Now sleep.”

His cock is rising against my ass. I reach back for it. In my hand, it feels like a power source. A magic wand.

“Is that going to get you to sleep?” he murmurs.

“Mm-hmm.”

And it does.

Sometime between night and day, I’m partially conscious. His lips on my shoulder blade, his arms around me, I’m feeling safe and happy. I nuzzle my cheek against the inside of his upper arm. Sleepy, he kisses my shoulder and cups my breast.

I still have his cock in my hand.

He thickens as I squeeze. His hand traces down my stomach to find my mound. My breathing deepens and I feel our bodies move in synch. He plays gently and slowly around my wet lips.

The way he knows me turns me on. He opens and thrills me, sliding along my channel, slipping into my opening. Playing in my wet folds. He feels what I want. What I need.

I’m cupping and cradling his balls and squeezing gently as he brings me to a bright, trembling burst. Soft and sighing, I gush and gently tremble, then slip slowly, softly back into sleep.

Chapter Three

The aroma of hot, fresh coffee stirs me.

I put on a huge old tee-shirt and pad out after the sweet and tangy breakfast smells. Wolf is in the kitchen with Canned Heat on a speaker.

“Did I wake you?”

His smile is like warm sunshine.

I fold into his arms. “It was time to get up.”

His morning kiss is soft and sweet. Mine must be stale, but Wolf seems not to mind.

I hold on to his shoulder as I tell him, “It was nice of you to come last night.”

He kisses me again. “I wanted to come and see the big city lawyer in her lair.”

He’s made bacon and French toast, and he brings it with mugs of coffee into the living area. I sit close to him on the couch and lean against him while we eat breakfast.

Halfway through my second cup of coffee, my phone rings in the bedroom.

Wolf asks if I want him to fetch it. I shake my head with a mouthful of cinnamon, vanilla, and maple syrup from the French toast. I swallow and tell him, “If they want to send a text or leave a voicemail, I can get back to them.”

“And if they don’t?”

I shrug.
