“Is that why you asked me to come back here?”

She steps closer. My heart bangs. She could walk right into my arms. My voice is thick when I tell her, “That coffee seriously could be a world beater.”

“Come on, Joe. You did not bring me back up here to talk about coffee. “

This is all the wrong way round. I should be chasing her. No, I shouldn’t be chasing her. But she shouldn’t be chasing me, either.

Is that what she’s doing? No. She is just being provocative. Playing a game. Seeing how it will play out.

Someone should teach her a lesson. Someone should give her a good spanking. Discipline is what she needs. Her bottom needs to be spanked raw. Spanked until she squirms and squeals, till she yelps. Her soft breasts, her body hanging, bent over my thick thighs. Raw flesh, rippling on her ass. Red from the stinging palm of my hand.

“So, because it’s great coffee, you feel entitled to have it. Is that it, Joe?”

I’m pressing back against the window, holding on to the sill.

“It’s never going to get the exposure, the development that it needs at JavaLava. It could be huge. Nationwide. Worldwide, even. But not under Henry.”

Now I’m thinking of her, under Henry. Her shirt and pants, opening. Her thighs. Opening. My throat is drying. This girl is going to drive me insane.

Her head shakes. “It wouldn’t have occurred to you, Joe, but nobody’s looking for that volume of sales. This is a small, niche product. It’s a tiny production. The place where it comes from, they don’t want to sell all over the world. They just want enough to be able to keep farming.”

“Then it could be premium. High-value. Exclusive.”

Her smile is electric. Her eyes bat. “No way, Joe. Then it would be sought after. People would come hunting for it.”

I shrug. “Whoever they are, wherever it is, they need to grow, like any business. It’s that or die.”

She advances another step toward me.

I can’t shrink away from her, even though I know I should. Feeling the warmth of her approaching, catching the scent of her, the urge to grab hold of her makes a buzz in all of my muscles.

She stops just an arm’s length away from me. We almost bounce, like the air between us is a solid cushion. Like two magnets, pole to pole. Invisible force, holding us apart.

She looks me up and down, and I keep my hands behind my back. That’s the only way I can be sure I can trust myself right now.

“You can’t have my beans, Joe.” Her eyes half close as her head shakes. She’s so close, I can taste her breath. My heart hammers. “And you can’t have me.”

I’m losing all sense of control. “You can’t be here.” I try to keep my voice level. Calm. I’m not feeling calm. “You have to go.”

“Do I?” Her chin tips up, defiant. I’m bunching my fists again. There’s no other way I can stop myself from grabbing hold of her. I know that if I hold her, if I get her into my arms, I’ll never want to let her go.

I can not let that happen.

Not again. Not ever.

“Okay, Joe,” she says, cool. “Have it your way. We’ll arrange not to have a starlight dinner or a walk by the river. Or dance in a sexy jazz bar. You won’t have your people call mine. I won’t have my people call yours. We’ll agree to meet up under no circumstances.”

Her eyes gleam. Every muscle in my body buzzes. My breath seems to jam from my chest all the way up my throat. The sparkle in her eyes is enough to drive me mad.

“So,” she says, “does Henry get the investment?”

“Because of your coffee?” The look in her eyes makes my cock twitch. She notices, and that makes it worse.

I want to take her chin. Pull her face to mine. I want to just fuck her. Get it over with. But I know I can’t do that. I wouldn’t be able to let her go. Not ever.

I shake my head. “Right now, Cyntia, I don’t care. It doesn’t matter.”

“It matters to him, Joe.”
