I look at him, confused. “I didn’t think we were.”

“Ok, good.” Luca sighs in relief. “I don’t think either of us are the marriage type, but if we were, I would probably need a well thought-out and planned proposal.” He then smiles widely. “Which sounds right up your alley.”

I shake my head. “Not happening.”

Luca laughs. “Didn’t think so.”

We’re quiet for a moment as we look up at the sky, until Luca breaks the silence.

“Tigers love water.”

I think on that for a moment, trying to link it back to anything he just said, and come up blank.

“Ok…” I say, waiting for him to get on with it.

He nods seriously. “They love to swim. And they have webbed paws.” He grabs my hands and spreads my fingers, inspecting them. “There’s an epic looking pool at our hotel, and if we can find you a pair of tiger shorts and you go down the waterslide wearing those, I will fuck you so hard you won’t be able to walk for a week.” He nods again. “Now that’s a celebration.”

I pull my hand from his and shake my head. “I’m not wearing tiger shorts.”

Luca gives me a knowing look. “I believe you said something similar about tiger boxers…”

As I look back at him, I can’t help but chuckle. As ridiculous as he is… he’s my ridiculous.

“I love you,” I say as I look into his eyes.

He smiles softly back at me. “I love you, too.”

I wrap an arm around him, pulling him into me as he rests his head on my shoulder, and we look up at the moon and stars.

And it feels good.

“Morning!” Rosa greets Luca and I from her seat at the table as we enter the buffet area in the hotel.

“Oh my god,” Luca looks around the room at the tables of food lining the walls. “I’m fucking starving.”

“It’s really good too,” Seb says as he slides into his chair next to Rosa with a full plate of food and takes a bite of bacon.

Luca points at it. “I want that. I need that.” He turns and wanders away towards the food, muttering something about muffins and toast.

Rosa takes a sip of her coffee and smiles at me. “Have a good night?”

I nod. “After Mulan was over, yes.”

She laughs and I point at her coffee. “And I need that.”

She gestures to a table behind me with the coffee and I nod to her in thanks, turning to get a cup. A very large cup.

Just as I pick up a mug, I hear a familiar voice behind me.

“Oh my god, Ty?”

As I turn around, I come face to face with two of my old gym mates from back home, Shawn and Dylan.

“Hey, man!” Shawn smiles and steps forward, pulling me into a hug. “So happy to see you here! Is this your hotel too?” He releases me from his hug, and I don’t even know what to say as Dylan hugs me as well.

“Hey,” I say eventually. “Yeah, it is… What are you guys doing here?”

“We’re here for a bachelor party,” Dylan says with a smile. “But we’re ditching the party tonight to come to watch the fights. We couldn’t believe it when we saw your name on the card.”
