“Deeper, Ty.”

“Fuck off.”

“Come on, get that ass into it.”

“If you don’t shut your mouth, I’ll shut it for you.”

“By shoving something in it? That sounds fun.”

Ty closes his eyes with a sigh, and I smile.

We have the best time together.

He finishes his last squat and places the bar on the rack, before he grabs a towel and leaves the weight room.

I chuckle, grabbing my own towel and following him.

“What, you don’t want to shove your dick in my mouth? That’s surprising.” I stop beside him as he stands at the edge of the mats in the gym. But his eyes are on the boxing ring, where Rosa and Noah are sparring.

He shakes his head slightly. “A fist to your mouth sounds much better right about now.”

I smile and turn towards the ring as well. “Save that for tomorrow. The cock sucking will be good foreplay.”

Ty remains silent, so I turn my head to him again as he intently watches Rosa and Noah, laser-focused with hands fidgeting at his sides.

I nudge him with my elbow. “Ready?”

His focus finally breaks as he brings his gaze to me. “Very fucking ready.”

And now I can’t help but give him a genuine smile. A month away from contact training has been hard on him while he healed from his concussion. And now that he has the all clear to train with no restrictions starting tomorrow, the anticipation in him is palpable.

“It’ll be nice to see you in the ring again,” Max says from the mat where he is watching Seb and Elijah roll. He smiles at Ty. “You have some work to do.”

“More like some catching up to do.” I nudge Ty again and he side steps away from me with an eye roll. “Don’t worry though, I kept up my training while you were on your brain break and I’ll get you back in tip-top fighting shape.” I lift a hand to ruffle his hair, but he slaps it away.

He shoots me a glare and I laugh. Even though things have drastically changed between us since we came to this gym, I still get the warm fuzzies from fucking with him. I am human, after all.

“I’m selfishly a bit sad that I’m losing my daily grappling partner,” Seb says, standing from the mat since he and Elijah have finished for the day. He smirks at Ty. “You better still roll with me. I’ve learned too much from you to stop now.”

The corner of Ty’s mouth tips up in a small smile. “We will.”

And that tiny trace of a smile sends a ripple of excitement through me. The ever-in-control Tyler Roscoe is slowly learning how to drop his guard, and just enjoy life.

But the second Seb turns away from him, Ty turns to me. “I have some drills I want to work on tomorrow.”

Alright. So we’re still taking baby steps.

“That’s great,” Max says with a nod. “Ease into it, then start some light sparring later in the week.”

Ty nods, and the look of determination on his face brings on a new level of excitement. Because I know he’s going to bring it when we step into the ring tomorrow. And I am too. I need to make up for those times I wanted to punch him over the past month but couldn’t.

You know, out of love.

Seb and Elijah head to the locker room while Max goes to his office, but Ty stays rooted to the spot with his eyes locked on the boxing ring. And I can’t quite place what it is I’m sensing in him. It’s not just anticipation and excitement… There’s something else lurking under the surface.

“We’ll start with some kicking drills, then add some punch combos,” Ty says in a low voice, watching as Rosa lays a lethal kick on Noah.
