“Somewhere. I don’t know.” She looked so dejected my heart twisted into a knot. I pushed back the furs and stood.

Gulping, she stared at my erect cock. “Shit, it’s as blue as the rest of you.”

“Why would it be any other color?”

“And you have two of them!”

“I’d be a defective male if I didn’t.” I looked down, and because she appeared shocked, I almost expected to find something peculiar between my legs.

“What . . . What does the second, smaller one do?” She nibbled on her long blue claws.

“It enjoys sucking on clits.”

“Shit, don’t say things like that.”

I shrugged.

“Stop trying to seduce me,” she snapped.

“When I try to seduce you, my pretty mate, you’ll know it,” I purred.

“Fuck that and the spaceship it rode in on. Where am I, anyway?”

“I’ve brought you to my home.” I tapped the wall. “Each of us lives within a dead god, and it protects us.”

The fluffy strips above her eyes lifted. “Dead god?”

“They died long ago, though a few still survive.”

“Okay. I guess understanding that part has a steep learning curve.” She shook her head. She’d done it so often I was beginning to wonder if the gesture was some sort of tic. If so, I’d ask the healer to see her. Perhaps there was a cure.

“I assume we understand each other because the gods have chosen to intervene. You belong to me, you’re my mate, and they want you to understand the world around you.”

“This is real, isn’t it?” she wailed, yanking on her glorious hair. “I’m not dreaming.”

“No.”

“I’ve been abducted by robocops along with a bunch of other women, and we’ve been deposited on an uncharted planet far from Earth.”

I didn’t understand much of what she said, but I could piece together what she might mean. As for the other women, I wasn’t the only male who’d begged for a mate.

“Crystal gods don’t exist.” She said it with such certainty that even I’d believe her if she wasn’t standing in front of me, evidence of their intervention.

She would soon see.

“You don’t happen to have a handy spaceship to take me back to Earth, do you?”

“I don’t know what a spaceship is. I ride my voolon from one destination to another, but I don’t believe she’ll be able to take you to this Earth since we don’t know where it is.” Or what it was.

“Earth is a planet. It’s where I come from.” She whimpered, and she wrapped her arms around her waist, hugging herself. It made me sad to see her do this rather than take comfort from me. Would a day come when my mate would seek me for love and affection?

I had to hope the gods hadn’t been wrong in gifting her to me. There would be no future for me without her, yet I’d never force her to remain with me if she begged to leave for . . . Eard. No,Earth.

“I’ll do my best to discover where your home is.” Couldn’t she see that her home was with me? My heart felt heavy. It was hard to form words, and I sensed the right ones would be vital now. I couldn’t risk driving her away. “Will you remain with me until I consult the gods?”

“I suppose I can do that.”

I grabbed a clean loincloth and wrapped it around my waist, hiding my cocks from her view. If she didn’t want me, showing her that I had the necessary tools to please her wouldn’t make a difference.
