Arianna took a tentative step forward. “Do I make you turn into a ‘quivering mess?’”

Elle stood up before Arianna had the chance to sit down. “Come into the shower with me and find out.”

“Why do I suspect you’ve been waiting to say that all day?”

Elle undid her belt and pulled it out of her trousers in one try. Before Arianna could be impressed, her girlfriend said, “We’re flying out tomorrow.” The belt landed on the couch behind her. “Do me the honors of giving me something to think about while you’re working and I have to pretend that I’m not making you orgasm more than once every time we’re together.”

They were now at a point in their relationship where Arianna could put her hands on her hips and say, “What makes you think it doesn’t go both ways?”

The nicest thing about sharing a shower wasn’t that they got things done quicker and in a more efficient matter. That’s hilarious. The mere thought would make Arianna laugh if she weren’t trying to hold back a scream of pleasure.

Because she and Elle were incredibly inefficient in the shower. Entire countries would send them cease and desist letters if they weren’t more mindful of the water supply, because once they were in there, they were not wont to leave anytime soon.

Not until the bathroom mirror was fogged up and the tiles slightly slippery from the amount of condensation seeping into their cracks.

Arianna knew the irony of their bathing together, though. All this time, Elle still hadn’t seen her girlfriend with her hair down.

“What are you up to?” Arianna teased as she was pinned against the shower wall, her hair pushing into her scalp as she attempted to get comfortable beneath Elle’s leveled gaze. “Get your hand away from my hair, Ms. Sparrow.”

Elle hadn’t been slick when she attempted to mess with her girlfriend’s hair. “I was being innocent, I swear.”

“Sure you were. Do you think I shower with my hair down? Only when I’m washing it.”

“And it’s always washed, isn’t it?” Elle left a light kiss on her favorite spot of Arianna’s throat. “Always smelling nice, always unnecessary for me to play with it.”

“Very astute.”

The shower water pummeled the top of Elle’s head and her arm, but she only had attention for Arianna, who was usually distracted by the way her girlfriend’s hair looked when splattered against her face. She looks more…. More. The light curls of Elle’s bangs were now washed away, either pasted to her cheek or pulled back from her face. Arianna took the liberty of smoothing away the dense and wet hair that made Elle look more masculine when wet. I love how she looks, either way. Wet or dry, Elle could make love to her anytime. As she often did.

“How much longer do I have to wait until your hair is mine to behold, huh?” Elle cheekily asked.

“Maybe I’m waiting until my wedding day.”

“How many years away is that? Are you seeing someone else?”

“Exactly. You have no idea if it’s you I’m marrying.”

“So, there might be this other woman out there vying for my affection? Do I have to hunt her down and find her? So I can be the one to see your hair first?”

“Why are you so obsessed with my hair?”

“Because you won’t show it to me, Aria.”

“It’s the principle of the thing now.” Arianna crossed her arms, protecting her naked chest from both the water and her girlfriend’s lecherous vision. “You’re obsessed.”

“I distinctly remember that on our first date, you told me it was not to be touched.”

“You can touch anywhere else on my body. That’s how boundaries work.”

Elle feigned being completely put out as she hung her head and curled her hands into fists against the shower wall. “Damn. Guess I’ll have to console myself by putting my hands all over your naked body.

Arianna lowered her arms. “You’re welcome to it.”

The longer they were together, the more Arianna appreciated the skin-to-skin contact they often indulged in when nobody was looking. I knew I could get naked quickly, but this is silly. Elle was even more likely to be naked in five minutes than Arianna, who had trained herself via hookups and online dating to be prepared for a fifteen-minute fling in a hotel room or someone else’s flat. One of the hottest nights of my life – before I met Elle – was this woman whose name I barely knew. She told Arianna what apartment building to meet her in, and the next thing Arianna knew, she was being introduced to a whole category of sex she had only seen on the internet.

Elle could be frisky like that too. She wasn’t afraid to have anything delivered, including the small vibrator she had purchased for them to play with in LA before sending it home with Arianna. In my carryon! God, I would have died if someone pointed that out! Elle had purposely bought one that looked like a hair trimmer, but still! Being told “Think of me whenever you use it,” was not enough to counteract the humility Arianna would have felt had TSA stopped her to go through her bag.

Yet… Arianna used it here in Singapore. Often. I should have brought it with me…
