And with every word, every damning revelation...I feel a weight lift from my shoulders. A sense of peace, of purpose, settle deep in my bones.

This is my penance, my atonement. The price I must pay for the sins of my past, the lives I've taken and the hearts I've broken.

But it's worth it. Worth the fear, the danger, the uncertain road ahead. Because at the end of that road...is Luca. Is the future we've dreamed of, the life we've fought for.

A life of love and light, of hope and healing. A life where the shadows can't touch us, can't taint the purity of what we share.

And as I step down from the stand, as the courtroom erupts in chaos and outrage...I feel a sense of triumph, of liberation.

I've done it. I've broken free, shattered the chains that bound me. And now...

Now, I'm ready to live. To love, wholly and fearlessly.

With Luca by my side, my guiding light, my saving grace.

Always.

LUCA

The gavel falls, the judge's voice ringing out with the finality of a gunshot. Guilty, on all counts. The Vitale empire has fallen, crumbled to dust and ashes.

And Enzo...my brave, beautiful Enzo...is finally free.

I weep with relief, with joy, as the bailiffs lead the family away in cuffs. It's over. The nightmare, the long shadow of Dante's cruelty...it's finally over.

And now, we can begin to heal. To build the life we've always dreamed of, the love we've fought so hard to protect.

I turn to Enzo, my heart in my throat, my eyes shining with tears and adoration. He looks exhausted, drained...but there's a light in his eyes, a peace I've never seen before.

He's free. Truly, utterly free.

I throw my arms around him, burying my face in his neck and breathing him in. He clings to me just as tightly, his hands fisting in the back of my shirt, his heart pounding against mine.

"We did it," he whispers, his voice rough with emotion. "We won, Luca. We won."

I pull back just enough to cup his face, to drink in the sight of him. "No, Enzo," I murmur, my thumb brushing over his lips. "You did it. You were so brave, so strong. I've never been more proud of you, more in awe of you."

He smiles, a soft, wondering thing. "I couldn't have done it without you," he says, his forehead resting against mine. "You're my strength, Luca. My heart, my home."

I kiss him then, soft and sweet and brimming with promise. And for a moment, the world falls away...and it's just us. Just this shining, perfect moment of love and triumph.

A moment I know I'll treasure forever, no matter what the future holds.

ENZO

The bakery is bustling, the air rich with the scent of sugar and spice and everything nice. I stand behind the counter, watching Luca work his magic...and I'm struck, as always, by how lucky I am. How blessed.

It's been a year since the trial, a year since we took our leap of faith into this new life. It hasn't been easy...there have been nightmares, flashbacks, moments when the old fears and doubts come clawing back.

But we've weathered it all, together. With the help of Gia and Marco, with the love and support of the found family we've built...we've healed, grown, become stronger than we ever thought possible.

Luca has been my rock, my guiding star. With his unwavering faith, his tender patience, he's helped me find my way out of the darkness, into the light of our love.

He's shown me that I'm more than my past, more than the sins that stain my soul. That I'm worthy of happiness, of redemption...of him.

And now, as I watch him laugh and joke with our customers, as I see the joy and contentment shining in his eyes...I know that every sacrifice, every risk, has been worth it.

Because this...this is what I've been fighting for, all along. This warmth, this belonging, this unshakable sense of home.
