“What a fucking mop,” I grumble, catching up to my adoptive brother. But even as I scurry behind him, my arms stay straight.
It’s impossible to get comfortable. Fuck. I almost want Rian to just pull the trigger already. At least that way, I can force myself to fight through what’s bound to happen.
The waiting is so much worse—especially considering how frustratingly good the tremors can feel.
“A mop is a good description,” Tytus agrees. “But only because we can use that empty head of his to help clean up some of our problems.”
“We don’t need him.”
“That’s not true, Roz,” Tytus sighs. “And you know that just as well as I do.”
“Fuck.”
We’re only waiting at the motorboat for a few minutes before someone arrives with the keys.
In that time, we carefully watch Leander board his massive super-yacht. The discussions he has with his crew strike me as suspicious, and I don’t like that another dozen or so bodyguards have shown up to protect him. But Tytus is right. We don’t have much of a choice.
We need a new army, and fast.
And Leander is the only billionaire stupid and shallow enough to give one to us.
“I can probably drive this thing better than you,” I note, watching as Tytus studies the controls.
“I’m not sure I trust you to do anything right now,” Tytus mumbles back. Sticking the key into the ignition, he turns on the engine. “You know, what with your woman problems and all.”
I hardly even hear him.
For a split second, I’m engulfed by a blinding panic.
The vibrating is back.
Gritting my teeth, I grab onto the driver’s seat and try to muffle the scream that tears up my throat. My legs start to tremble so hard my knees clank together.
I feel Tytus’ hands on my shoulder, and I desperately shake him off. I am not having an orgasm while he touches me. No fucking way.
Turning my back on him, I bend over the stern and clench my eyes shut.
And then, just like that, the vibrating stops.
“Ok, fuck this. Roz, I’m tired of playing around. What the hell is going on?”
“Cramps,” I croak, wrapping an arm around my stomach.
“I’ve known you for eight long years, and I’ve never seen you react like that to cramps.”
“Start the boat,” I demand.
“I just did, and it set you off like a grenade.”
A stone drops in my gut as I realize that what I just felt wasn’t from the shit Rian rubbed onto my clit.
It was from the boat.
I’m losing my fucking mind.
“No. Sorry. I’m milking it. Tell Leander to cast off. We need to see Drago.”
“You’re in no state to see Drago.”
