Hot water batters down on me from above. Thick rivers of blood swirl down around my feet. The shower drain is already clogged. I’m slowly boiling alive in a pool of my own failure.
But I don’t give a shit.
All I can focus on is my hand.
It’s wrapped around the base of my swollen cock. Every inch of me shakes with desire, screaming for just one stroke.
Those lips. That body. I want to let myself imagine all the dirty things I could do to them. To her.
But my brain refuses. I don’t deserve any relief. No pleasure. Not after what happened today. What I allowed to happen.
Fuck. I’m already done blaming others. I’ve accepted responsibility. This was my fault. And it’s up to me to fix what was broken.
My reputation.
Because if I don’t, it’s not just me who will pay. It’s my entire family.
One grunt at a time, I pry my fingers off my pulsing shaft. It twitches in the hot air, desperate to be touched again. I don’t give in—even if all I can think about are Rozalia’s thick red lips wrapping around my girthy head.
Fuck. Stop it!
Making a fist, I punch the faucet. The water stops. The steam settles. I open the shower door and storm out.
A draft of crisp air blows in from the open bathroom door. I let it wash over me.
For a moment, my raging erection finally calms. My obsessive desire temporarily cools along with it. Grabbing a towel, I make my way back into the bedroom, towards the desk by the far wall.
There’s something else I should be focusing on.
In the middle of the table, splayed out on a white cloth, is the silver tick I found earlier.
My men can wait. So can my cowardly guests. I’m not going anywhere until I have something to say to them. And something tells me this taunting piece of technology will give me exactly what I want.
Answers.
First, I just have to dissect it.
Reaching into the top drawer, I find my incision scalpel and a fiberoptic wire. The little black cable is so thin it could be a strand of hair, but it's filled with more high-end circuitry than some computers.
Slicing open the back of the silver tick, I slip the wire inside. Then, I get up from my chair and find my phone. It’s over by one of the bedside drawers.
There are already a dozen missed calls showing on the screen, and even more texts are waiting to be seen.
I ignore every last one.
The outside world can go to hell. So can all of my duties. I’ve tried watching over my empire from a gilded throne. It didn’t work out.
Now, it’s time to get my back to my roots.
It’s time to hunt.
Rozalia Dorn has chosen to play a dangerous game with me. She won’t like where it ends up. I promise.
Sitting back down at my desk, I get to work. First, I set up the wireless connection between the fiberoptic cable and my cell phone. After a few false starts, the screen finally fills up with a tableau of delicious data. Then suddenly, it all vanishes.
My phone vibrates with an incoming call.
