I can’t help but laugh.

“I’m only a horny bastard for you, angel.”

Letting my hand drop from around her neck, I pinch her chin instead.

“You’ve got a real way with words,” Rozalia sneers.

“You haven’t heard anything yet.” With that, I let go of her chin and splay my hand out across her chest. “Now, go stand over there,” I say, pointing to the corner of the room. “Let that poor guy down from the cross.”

“What? You’re not going to let me interrogate Flavian? Why?”

“Because you’re clearly not feeling well,” I tell her. “I don’t care if it’s actually cramps or something else, you go stand over there until I tell you to move.”

Fire jumps behind Rozalia’s emerald green eyes as she fights an internal battle against my command. But it doesn’t last long.

She’s learning.

“Then what?” she grimaces.

“Then you can come help me clean up the mess I make.”

“I’m not your fucking maid,” she hisses.

“No. You’re just mine. Period.”

Giving her a nudge in the right direction, I make a big show of reaching for the pocket where the remote is stored.

Rozalia freezes up.

The reaction is so intense I actually start to feel a little bad about how hard I shocked her while she was kissing Leander.

But who can blame me?

She’s mine.

“Go, angel.” With one last long stubborn look, Rozalia finally relents. “That’s my good girl.”

The look she gives me could burn a forest to ashes. But I take it head on. It’s what I deserve.

The shock collar might have been overkill. But it was the only way to keep her under control while we left the house. And I wasn’t about to sit around concocting some new device while a lead was just sitting at a club thirty minutes away.

“If you don’t let me go soon, there’s going to be trouble!” Flavian finally gathers the courage to speak up again.

Slashing my knife through the air, I turn my attention back to him.

“From now on, you only speak when spoken to,” I growl, storming back towards him.

“Don’t you fucking know who I am?”

Closing my hand, I crack the self-important club owner right between the eyes. His neck snaps back like a lever.

“You’re lucky to still be alive. That’s what you are.”

Grabbing a fistful of his hair, I yank his head up. Flavian’s nose is already crooked and bleeding. His blue eyes are hazy.

Shit. I might have hit him too hard.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Rozalia unlatching the guy from the St. Andrew’s cross.
