My life has changed. My priorities have changed. My mind has been made up.

No matter how much it feels like it sometimes, I’m not a slave to Leo’s dick, I’m not a captive to his body, or a damsel to his words.

If I wanted to, I could walk out of here on my own accord. But I don’t want to do that.

Instead, I want Leo to fuck me until I can’t walk anymore.

That doesn’t mean there’s no conflict left raging inside of me. That just means I know I can handle it. With Leo by my side, I can do whatever I want to do.

We’ll take on the world… together. But first, we’ll ignore it for each other.

When I wake up in the morning, wrapped in Leo’s strong arms, the last thing on my mind is his promise of a gift.

When he’d first mentioned it, my gut had twisted into knots at the uncertainty. But now, all I can think about is last night.

It wasn’t the first time we spent hours in bed together, unable to take our hands off of each other. But it was the first time I did it without any inhibition.

Because last night, I made up my mind. Leo tore the decision out of me with his tongue and his cock.

I want him. I want to be with him.

Fuck our history. Fuck our families. Fuck the war and our empires and our responsibilities.

We’ll deal with those on our own terms, together.

But until then, there’s only him. There’s only us. And that’s what it feels like as I rest beneath his hulking body, unwilling to squirm away, no matter how badly I might have to pee.

“Are you up?” Leo mumbles.

When he rolls over, he takes me with him.

“Yes,” I whisper, worried that I might break the spell that we cast last night. But in my heart of hearts I know that there’s no going back.

I’ve fallen for this man.

“Let’s get ready,” Leo says, gently kissing my cheek before finally letting me go. “Today is a big day.”

That’s when I remember what he promised me last night, before I made up my mind and attached myself to Leonid Barinov for as long as he swears to protect my heart.

“The gift…”

“That’s right. Go shower and doll yourself up. I’ll make sure breakfast is ready when you are.”

Leo doesn’t wait for my response. The second he sits up in bed, I can see a stiffness come over his hard body. Whatever his gift for me truly is, it’s not just some personal present.

This is business related.

And in our business, that could mean anything from a corpse to an army.

I wait until Leo leaves the room before I gather enough energy to get up. My legs are sore from last night, but no matter how battered I might feel, there’s a lightness that propels me forward, into the bathroom.

With an almost blank mind, I pee, shower and get dressed, putting on another modest sundress. For some reason, they are Leo’s favorite.

It’s not until I smell the pancakes cooking in the kitchen that I remember what I thought Leo’s gift might be.
