After we finish our meals and she has a strawberry mojito, I drop her home and head home for a shower before going to Bella’s house.

It’s dark when I get there, but earlier than I had told her. She answers the door in her robe, freshly showered and a beautiful smile on her face.

“Have you eaten?” she asks before anything else.

“I have, have you? I can get you something if you want,” I offer, gazing down at the curve of her breast, the pink silk wrapped around it tightly. “Unless you are hungry for something else? Then I don’t need to go anywhere.”

She rolls her eyes. “I just ate. I saved you a plate in case you hadn’t had anything yet.”

I cup her face. “You are so sweet, you know that?”

And then she drags me into her bedroom and thanks me for being such a good boy, with her hands, her mouth and then her pussy on my face.

The next night, blood drips from my knuckles. I lift the man in front of me by his shirt. “Who sent you?”

I noticed someone following Romeo and me early this morning, and when I saw the same car again just now, I knew it wasn’t a coincidence. It’s my job to stay vigilant and protect Romeo and the MC, and I’m not going to let this slide until I find out why this man is snooping around and how much of a threat he is.

The driver spits out blood on the alleyway. “I already said I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have no fucking idea who you are.”

He’s lying.

I know it, he knows it, which means unfortunately for him I’m not done yet.

He’s either brave or stupid, and I don’t care which one it is, because I’m going to find out what information I need from him regardless.

I slam him back against the wall and look him in the eyes. “We can do this the easy way or the hard way.”

“I don’t know—”

“The fuck you don’t,” I growl, bringing my face closer. “I want to know what you want, and why you are following us.”

This time he spits in my face, and that’s when I really lose my temper.

I wipe my face and then hit him hard enough to knock him out, and throw him in the trunk of my car and head back to the clubhouse. I then send a text to Romeo asking for him to send someone out to get the man’s car.

There’s one thing I’ve learned during my time on earth, and that is to trust my gut instincts, because they have never let me down before. This man is not a friend, and I’m going to find out what he wants.

I park in the clubhouse garage, and Jeremiah and Romeo are waiting for me.

“Well, this escalated,” Jeremiah says, whistling as he opens the trunk. “He’s out cold.”

“Always escalates with River.” Romeo smirks. He lays the man down on the ground and searches him, pulling out his wallet and checking the man’s ID.

“This is fake,” he says, throwing it down next to the unconscious body.

We all share a look. We are under the impression that the threats have been eliminated since the Angels and Devils joined.

So the question is, who else is out to get us?

We search his car and run the plate numbers before we hide the vehicle. Nothing. Stolen car. Fake ID. We have nothing on this guy, but all I know is that he won’t be going anywhere until we figure this out.

I tie him up and he wakes up right away when I move him. “You ready to do some talking?”

“Fuck you.” He sneers, trying to get out of his binds. I pick him up and set him back against the garage wall. “You can’t just keep me here!”

Romeo and Jeremiah both look at me and then head back inside the clubhouse, leaving me alone with our new guest. I pull out and slowly unroll my torture kit, and press a button so the garage door scrolls down, slowly shutting out the light...

And all hope.
