“Gentlemen,” I announce, my voice cutting through the quiet morning. “It’s time to ask our girl to move in.”

Ethan and Liam slowly turn to face me, their eyes widening slightly. I can see the wheels turning in their minds, the realization of what I’m proposing sinking in.

“She’s already staying here most nights, anyway,” Ethan points out, his lips curving into a mischievous smile. His eyes are bright and playful, and I can tell he’s on board with the idea.

“You know, it’s not the same,” Liam argues, his brow furrowing slightly. He’s always been the more cautious one, the one who thinks things through before making a decision. “We need to make it official.”

“I couldn’t agree more,” I say, nodding. “We’ve been playing this game long enough. It’s time to take the next step.”

“So, how do you propose we do it?” Ethan asks, leaning forward on his elbows. His eyes are sparkling with excitement, and I can tell he’s already thinking of grand gestures and elaborate plans.

“I’m thinking, maybe a romantic dinner,” I suggest, my mind conjuring up images of candlelight and soft music. “We could cook her favorite meal and pop the question.”

“Maybe we could surprise her at work,” Liam suggests, his eyes lighting up. “We could show up with flowers and a big sign, make a whole production out of it.”

“No, that’s too impersonal,” Ethan argues, shaking his head. “It should be something intimate with just the four of us. Something that shows her how much we care about her.”

“I already have a key made for her,” I admit. “The master room is filled with her clothes, and there’s girly shit all over the house…”

“Girly shit?” a familiar voice asks, startling us out of our conversation.

We turn to see Ava standing at the entrance to the kitchen, looking fresh-faced and beautiful in a gorgeous dress. The fabric hugs her curves in all the right places, and her hair and make-up are impeccable as always. She looks like a fucking queen, and I feel my heart skip a beat at the sight of her.

“Uhhh…” Liam stammers, clearly caught off guard. His cheeks flush slightly, and he looks down at his coffee mug, trying to hide his embarrassment.

“What’s going on?” Ava asks, glancing around at us. Her eyes are curious, and I can tell she’s trying to piece together what we were talking about. At the same time, she walks over like the queen she is, giving each of us a quick kiss on the cheek. Her lips are soft and warm against my skin, and I can smell the sweet scent of her perfume.

“We were just discussing what we should get for dinner tonight,” I say smoothly, rising from my stool to embrace her. I wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her close to me. She fits perfectly against my body, like she was made to be there.

“Really? I was thinking Chinese,” she says, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. Her eyes are sparkling with humor, and I can tell she’s not buying my excuse.

“Then Chinese it is, my love,” I say, kissing her softly. Her lips are soft and pliant against mine, and I can feel the heat of her body through the thin fabric of her dress.

“You were also talking about a key,” she says, raising a perfectly manicured brow. “Care to elaborate?”

I exchange a meaningful look with Liam and Ethan, and they both nod discreetly. I’ve been planning this moment for weeks, and now that it’s here, I can feel my heart racing with anticipation.

“I have something for you,” I say, turning back to Ava. I reach into my pocket and pull out a small silver key, holding it out to her. “A key to what?” she asks, accepting it. Her fingers brush against mine, and I can feel the electricity sparking between us. Every fucking time.

“A key to this house,” I say softly, my eyes never leaving hers. The air is thick with tension, and I can hear the blood rushing in my ears. “You… You want me to move in?” she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. Her eyes are shining with unshed tears, and I can see the emotion welling up inside her.

“That’s the plan,” Liam says, coming to stand next to her. He places a hand on her shoulder, his touch gentle and reassuring.

“We want you here, Ava,” Ethan adds, his voice low and sincere. “All the time. We want to wake up with you every morning, and fall asleep with you every night. We want to share our lives with you in every way possible.”

“Wow, I… I don’t know what to say,” Ava says, her voice thick with emotion. A single tear slips down her cheek, and I reach out to brush it away with my thumb.

“Say you’ll move in,” I suggest, my heart in my throat. I can feel the weight of the moment pressing down on me, the importance of her answer.

“Yes,” she whispers, more tears welling in her eyes. She brings her hands to her face, wiping at her cheeks. “Ugh, now I’m gonna have to redo my make-up. I hate you!”

“I take that as a yes, then,” I say, grinning from ear to ear. My heart is soaring with joy, and I can feel the love and happiness radiating from every pore of my body.

“I’d say it’s a big fat YES,” Ava says, laughing through her tears. She throws her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly. I can feel her heart beating against my chest, and I know this is where she belongs.

“I love you,” Ethan says, pulling her into his arms and kissing her deeply. Liam joins in, wrapping his arms around both of them. We stand there for a moment, lost in the bliss of our love and the excitement of our future together.

It’s a moment that will be forever etched in my memory. The moment when the love of my life agreed to be mine, ours, forever. The moment when our lives changed forever, and we became a family.
