His tongue pushes into my mouth slowly and his hand slides up my spine. The earth could be falling and splitting apart and nothing else would have mattered in this moment. The only thing left is the two of us. He’s all that matters. My fingers trail his chest and I cup his jaw between my hands, feeling like the kiss might just consume me entirely.

We break apart to catch our breaths after a few minutes.

“We should have been doing this the entire time,” Graham mutters, his lips twisted with displeasure.

I smile softly. “I’m sure we can catch up.”

His lips lift in a dazzling smile and I only get a second to prepare before he’s standing up and carrying me with him.

“Tell me, Sunshine, how many times do you think I can make you come tonight?” he asks, carrying me in the direction of the stairs in the house.

“Reach for the stars, Graham,” I say on a laugh when he bites my ear playfully.

The day ends on the most perfect note. I finally let myself be with man who makes me feel a terrifying amount of emotions. And there’s no other place I’d rather be.

I wake up wrapped in Graham’s arms. And nothing has ever felt more right. He’s still sleeping soundly, which is to be expected considering he thoroughly wore himself during the night. The smile on my face refuses to disappear as I stare at him. He doesn’t so much as stir when I slowly untangle myself, lifting his arm and sliding out.

I get up from the bed, my feet padding across the bedroom floor and toward his closet. I put on the first shirt I see. His scent engulfs me almost immediately and I fight the urge to sniff it. Graham doesn’t so much as move when I open his bedroom door, walking out and heading downstairs to the kitchen.

My mind replays every detail from the night before. The most I’ve ever gotten from any guys I’ve dated throughout my life has been flowers. Last night, Graham completely outdid himself, and I’m so grateful. No one has ever taken the time to think so deeply about a gift for me and then gone above and beyond to fulfill it the way he did. I’ve been trying hard not to think about how difficult it must have been for him to not only secure some of Vinetto’s time but also his recipes.

I figure I might as well show him just how grateful I am. And the perfect way to do that would be to use his gift to me and bake him something nice from Vinetto’s recipes.

Unfortunately, Graham’s pantry has little to no ingredients to whip up something good. Cinnamon rolls will have to do. He can eat them with the breakfast burritos I’m planning to make. Thirty minutes later, I’m almost done with cooking when he appears at the doorway into the kitchen.

His green eyes smolder as he takes me in. “I thought I smelled something good,” he murmurs.

“Hey. Did you sleep well?”

He nods, walking toward me. Once I’m within reach, he grabs me, pulling me into his arms. My hand settles on his bare chest and I smile up at him.

“You look good enough to eat, Isabella,” he growls before his lips meet mine.

He kisses me for so long that I lose all sense of reality. When his hand slides down to cup my ass, reality snaps back into perspective. I bat his hand away, looking up at him with a grin.

“Breakfast first,” I tell him. “I’m almost done.”

He sighs. “Baby, I appreciate you cooking for me, really I do. But I’d much rather eat you,” he says earnestly.

I stare up at him for a couple of seconds, preparing to think that over. “How about you eat this first and then we’ll see?”

“Good enough for me. Now what is that magnificent smell?”

We have our meal right there in the kitchen, eating our burritos before dessert. Graham especially loves the cinnamon rolls.

He and I clear the table together, and then it’s time to do the dishes. I cross my arms as I stare him down.

“Why can’t you do the dishes?” I question.

“Because the housekeeper will be here in a couple of minutes. She can take care of it.”

My eyes narrow. “You’re so lazy.”

“No, I just have better things to do right now. Come here, Sunshine.”

I laugh, “No. If you can’t do something as simple as dishes then you’re not getting any.”

His eyes darken. “Wanna bet?”
