Sure enough, Preston shuddered, goose bumps rising along his arms. “He pretended to be you.”

I grinned at his whispered words even though jealousy raged. “Kinky little nerd. And what fantasy did you play out?”

“The uh…one where you fucked me while spooning.”

“Fuck that’s hot.” And surprisingly, it was. My dick plumped and everything regardless of the fact it had been someone else who’d gotten him off. It had been to thoughts of me, so maybe that was why? Who the fuck knew—and I didn’t have time to evaluate my body’s reaction. “Did he jerk you while talking dirty in your ear?”

I could imagine the red flushing Preston’s face, since I couldn’t see it and didn’t want him budging from where he rested against me.

“Um, yes?”

The knowledge someone else had him like that still burned a sense of rage in my gut, but I grinned in pride over the fact Preston had the balls to ask for what he yearned for from one of my co-workers.

Ex co-workers.

“How long did you end up dating those guys?” I asked, all casual and shit, not a hint of jealousy in my tone.

It took Preston a few seconds before he answered. “They were one-night stands, but I met up with Ma—the first guy three times.”

That slip. There was no doubt in my mind who’d had him.

Preston squirmed before I could cook up another question to get him to spill the beans of what he’d done. Considering the NDAs he’d signed, I couldn’t outright ask, which would put him in the position of sharing information he legally shouldn’t.

“What’s wrong?” I asked when he shifted around a bit more without actually pulling away. “Getting hard?”

“N-No. Too t-tired.”

“You’re stuttering and have ants in your pants. What’s got you feeling guilty?”

“Damnit, Drake.” Preston huffed. “How do you always know?”

“You’re an open book, baby.” Most of the time, anyway. I kissed the top of his head. “Tell me what’s causing your emotional response. Unload it off your chest so we can crawl into bed and get some much needed rest.”

“They…” He swallowed audibly. “Were Elites?”

“Was that a question or statement?” I asked without a hint of judgment in my voice.

“Um. S-Statement.”

“Hmm.” I pretended to ponder what he’d shared with me, my fingertips once more active in caressing his bare arm to show him I wasn’t upset. The caveman part of me was livid, but Preston didn’t need to be aware of that just yet. “Let’s see…experienced means older. Probably one of the silver foxes.”

“He doesn’t work there anymore,” Preston said, his tone fond yet sad.

My hand stilled in its caressing. “You miss his massive dick?”

He huffed a laugh. “No. Yours is ten times better. A perfect fit.”

My ego swelled, and I grinned. “Mason has a man of his own now, and would you believe he’s a strict bottom?”

Preston jolted into a sitting position, his emerald eyes wide. “You… how did you… What?”

I chuckled, laying my arm across the back of the couch so I could rest my fingertips on his far shoulder. “There was only one silver fox on the EEMM’s menu that would treat you the way you described, and yep. Long story, but he found his other half. Maybe someday he can share his truth with you.”

“He was like the perfect Daddy though!”

I snorted an outright laugh. “Jasper is more the caretaker in their dynamic, and trust me when I say if any two men were made for each other, they’re it.”

Preston’s lips slowly curled upward. “He never seemed happy, so I guess that stemmed from him not feeling fulfilled with his job.”
