When I saw her in his arms last night, I would have thought I’d feel some kind of jealousy. But that hadn’t been the case. Hell no, it had only made this whole situation more real. Seeing Rosie in his arms while he tried to soothe her had only made me fucking thankful for the fact there were three of us to watch over her, protect and love her. Knowing that no matter what, one of us could be there for her.

Thankfully, Casey knew me and how I would react. He put a hand out and pointed toward the door. Begrudgingly, I rolled out of Mal’s bed, which was way too fucking comfortable, and made sure to cover her up with the light sheet we’d used the night before.

We stepped out of his room and walked directly toward the kitchen. I glanced at the backyard, shocked the storm had hardly left a trace of damage. Now that we knew storms scared her, we were going to have to make sure to find all sorts of ways to distract her.

“I can’t believe he went to the office,” I muttered under my breath.

“Jett—"

“I’m serious. I can’t believe he was so okay with leaving Rosie when she’s not feeling well.” I reached and grabbed three coffee mugs from one of the cabinets.

“To be fair, he’s going to get shit that is urgent done and out of the way.”

“What’s new?” I mumbled. “I really thought he was going to try. I get he’s scared, but fuck.” I shook my head and felt Casey’s hand on my back. I turned to meet his light blue gaze.

“Jett, he’s doing it so we can stay home for the rest of the week. The three of us with Rosie.” Casey’s words took a moment to process.

“He is?” I couldn’t hide my surprise. I had jumped to conclusions and thought the worst of him.

“Yep.” He nodded, and I could see the glimmer of hope in his gaze. “He’s in. We’re all in, Jett. Nothing’s changed.”

“We are.” I nodded. The knot in the pit of my gut relaxed, and it felt like a weight had been lifted. “We’re going after her.” He patted my back and got back to moving around the kitchen. “Now the question is, do you think she’ll be in?” There was something in Casey’s voice that didn’t sit well with me, but then I remembered what she’d said the night before.

Next thing I know, I’ll call you guys daddy and you’ll be wearing masks. A wolfish grin set in place, I had to adjust my already hard cock.

“I think Rosie is made for us in every way, Case. It’s going to be okay.” He leaned against the kitchen counter, his gaze locked with mine.

“I wish I had your confidence, man.” He was worried when he didn’t have to be. That was usually Malcom or my job.

To everyone who met Case, he was so fucking charming. Easy going, always adjusting to the vibe around him. Our own peacemaker. But when you got to know him, really got to know him, you found just how deep he was. How he worried about possible outcomes a normal person would never come up with. Where Mal and I would make Plans A through F, his went to Z.

The man’s mind was always thinking five steps ahead.

“She’s ours, Casey,” I repeated confidently.

Calling us daddy while we wore masks. If that was her thing, we could make that happen. My lips twitched.

“What are you thinking about?”

“Didn’t you catch what she said last night?”

“Yeah but?—"

“But what?”

“She had a fever, Jett.” Casey ran his fingers through his messy dirty-blond curls. “Rosie was exhausted. Not to mention scared.” He hadn’t finished talking when I already started to shake my head.

“Trust me. She’s made for us. When we suggest… well, what we have to offer, it might be a lot for her to wrap her head around, but then again, it might not be.” Case’s brows bunched, and I shrugged. “I have a feeling this isn’t something she hasn’t thought about.”

“You think?” His eyes skated down the hallway toward Mal’s room. “She looks like an angel sleeping.”

“Doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a little bit of a naughty side, Case.” I winked, and his lips twitched.

And I had a feeling that naughty side of hers was going to be fun to explore with her.

Oh yeah, a lot of fucking fun.
