“Don’t go there, Jesus.” His hands cupped my face with a gentle but firm touch before he moved in close enough for us to share the same air. “I can’t come in your mouth. That’s not where it goes, and we both know it.”

“Baby.” His voice cracked, and his face moved closer to mine. His nose touched mine. “You don’t know what you’re asking for,” he whispered in an almost tortured tone.
“I do.” I nodded. “You. I’m asking you to give me all of you.”
“What if I scare you off? What if I push you too far, and you push me away?”
“That’s not possible,” I promised.
“You don’t know.” He swallowed. “What if you find out something about me that makes you see me differently?”
