Luckily, the bubbles hid by naked body. “Franco, I ate already.”

“Appetizers aren’t a meal.” He held the towel up. “You’ll wear the dress I laid out for you.”

“Franco, one more time. I don’t want to have sex with you.”

“It’s dinner. Not sex. Neither of us wants to fuck the other,” he said.

“You put me in this wing of the house. I thought you didn’t want to see me.”

His jaw twitched. “Kennedy, get out of the tub.” Patiently he held up the towel.

My nipples were so hard in his presence. If he saw how my body reacted to him again, he’d think I was lying about not wanting to have sex with him.

I shot to my feet. White bubbles covered most of my body. Thank goodness.

Franco’s eyes remained on mine as he wrapped the towel around my body. Clutching the towel against my bosom, I stepped out of the tub.

“Bonnie is outside the door. Does she need to assist you?” he asked.

“No,” I replied through bared teeth.

Stepping around him, I stalked into the bedroom.

I spun, glaring between Bonnie and Franco.

“Will she stay in my room while I get dressed, too?” I gestured to her position near the bathroom door.

Hands deep in his pockets, Franco sauntered toward me. “If you’re coming downstairs, no.”

“Franco, like I said again and again. I don’t want to have dinner with you.” Easing up on my tippy toes, I glared into his bottle green eyes. “I prefer to stay in my wing of the house.”

Bonnie snickered under her hand in my periphery.

“Is this because I didn’t walk you to your room?” Franco asked.

“If I’m a prisoner, then I’d like to stay in my room, Mr. DeLuca.”

He was on the edge, getting ready to explode. Franco gripped my chin, pulling me closer. “Bonnie, leave us.”

“Yes, sir.” I heard the door close behind her.

My pebbled nipples remained rock hard. I kept a hand on the towel, keeping it secure against my breasts.

“Kennedy, answer the question.”

“Franco, I didn’t like you the moment you sat in my section. You thought you’d flash a panty dropping smile and get your way. Just like that.”

His eyes narrowed. “I’ll give you credit. You kept that wall secure.”

My brows lowered. “What wall?”

“The wall around that icy heart of yours.”

I twisted my lips. “My heart doesn’t beat for anyone but me.”

“And Quinn.” He smirked.

“Franco, I’ll take my dinner in here. Please and thank you.”
