Page 23 of I Fing Dare You

Less than a foot away from me, Jason rests his hands on either side of my chair, caging me, and leans in. “You know what’s wrong with you, Nadia?"

“Right now? The fact that you’re in my room. I wasn’t joking. I’ll scream.”

He smirks and shakes his head. “You were born in the wrong bloodline. You’re the spawn of the runt of a mildly successful crook, and yet you act like a queen.” Somehow, he made it sound like an insult. “You have a backbone of steel. The problem is, steel’s too stiff. It doesn’t bend well. It breaks.”

I bring my knee up to his groin without warning, but Jason lifts his leg to block it, then presses up against me.

Oh my god.

He’s hard. There’s no mistaking the solid bulge against my stomach. Even through his tailored black school pants and my PJs, I can feel its heat.

I shove against his chest. “Move!”

I don’t even gain an inch. I might as well push a stone wall.

“Or you’ll scream?” He laughs, digging in his pocket for his phone. “Take a look how that’s going to work out for you.”

I’m confused when he unlocks it and hands it to me, but I take it, seeing the SnapApp interface.

My mouth falls open.

I’m wet and ready for you, Jason. Please come fill me with your cum.

The nasty message is accompanied by a salacious shot of a slender, athletic girl—no face, but I certainly see plenty of everything else. She’s lying down on a school bed, legs spread, her hands down her minuscule lace panties.

None of that astonishes me—I’m guessing he receives invitations of this sort on a daily basis. What’s wrong is that the sender isme.

It was received half an hour ago.

If I scream as I’ve threatened to, all he has to do is show this and whatever I say will be immediately dismissed. I’ll be expelled on the spot.

I shake my head. “It’s not my profile.”

“Isn’t it?”

I break his hold—and he lets me, because there’s no fighting against his muscles—to rush to my bedside table. I check my phone, heading to SnapApp. Indeed, that filthy message was sent from my account. “What the fuck?”

I’m screwed. How am I supposed to prove this wasn’t me?

“You should be more careful. Technology’s your enemy.” He sounds as blasé as if we were discussing the weather.

“You know, I could make you post this picture publicly. SnapApp might have been designed to keep the users’ privacy intact, but you can be certain there’ll be screenshots. Maybe someone will send it to your parents. To the colleges you apply to. To your future job… So scream, Nadia. I fucking dare you.”

Jason Alden is a monster. I never realized that before. I’m not playing on even ground, because there are no limits as far as he’s concerned. He could ruin my life, and he doesn’t care.

He leans back on my desk. “Now let’s talk about that habit of yours. I told you how I felt about being threatened the first day of school. You’ve felt the consequences since. And yet, here we are again.”

“You’re invading my space,” I reminded him. “I told you what would happen if you didn’t go away; that’s not a threat, that’s you choosing a course of action and me stating its consequences.”

“There’s that crown again.” He flashes me all his teeth. “It seems you missed the memo, so here’s how the world works, cupcake. Those in power get away with literal murder. Those without suffer consequences. Your life will be much easier if you accept that simple truth.”

Everything in me rebels against his words. I want to scream “No. No.No.” And yet, part of me knows he’s right.

“Speaking of consequences. Back to the threatening thing.” He takes his time, eyes tracing from my bare feet to my eyes as I stand dumbly next to my bed. “Lie back and spread your legs, Nadia.”

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

He’s fucking kidding. Right? He isn’t that much of an asshole.
