“I’m so going to enjoy it when that day comes. And so will Papa.”

“Uh-huh.” She rubs her head against my chest. “Thank you, baby.”

“Thank you for loving me, for giving me these precious babies, the daft dog, and the diva cat. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, even when I was completely unaware of my surroundings.
