“You know that’s bullshit,” Luca spits.

“The rest of the world doesn’t think so.” I smirk.

“Seems like someone else doesn’t like the news of your marriage either,” Giorgio states, gesturing to my split lip.

“My father wasn’t too happy about the news.” Giorgio’s brows rise at my answer. “This is business, nothing more.”

“Then why did you drag our sister into this. She doesn’t deserve this,” Luca adds.

“Your sister is the one that ran to the papers.”

“Because you wouldn’t sign the annulment papers,” Giorgio states.

“She called my bluff. Your sister is a lot tougher than I thought, I won’t fall for that again,” I tell them.

“Then you stalked her to Paris,” Luca adds.

“It’s the city of love. I thought it would be a great way to show the world how in love we are,” I tell him.

“You’re a fucking asshole. Our sister doesn’t deserve this, being married to you is going to ruin her reputation,” Luca spits.

“Ruin her? This isn’t the eighteen hundreds,” I fire back.

“She’s our little sister, we are trying to protect her,” Luca adds.

“Natalia doesn’t understand how this world works,” Giorgio suggests.

“What, the business world? Because from where I’m sitting, she seems to be playing the game like a pro. You should have more faith in her,” I tell them.

“Fuck you. Don’t make out you’re the authority on Natalia.” Luca sneers.

“What will it take for you to sign the damn papers?” Giorgio asks, frustrated with the conversation.

“That you pull out of the deal with Emerald Hotels,” I tell them, not understanding how they don’t get this.

They both bristle at my request. “Not going to happen,” Giorgio adds.

“Then I guess you two have got yourselves a new brother-in-law.”

“Fuck you, Conti,” Luca spits.

“Let me ask you this, if you had a sister, would you let her marry one of us?” Giorgio asks me.

“Hell fucking no, but I’d also trust her.”

Their eyes narrow on me. “We trust her, not you.”

I roll my eyes at them both. “I promise I won’t put my hands on her unless she wants me to,” I tell them.

“She’ll never fucking touch you,” Luca says angrily.

“She has once or twice. I seem to have lost count of how many times she’s asked me to touch her.” I smirk.

Luca goes to launch at me, but his brother holds him back again. “Don’t, he’s trying to rile you up,” Giorgio tells him.

“I fucking hate him,” Luca spits.

“Feeling’s mutual, Fiorenzo,” I tell him.
