There’s a very simple tiara with the name Dani underneath. Tears well in my eyes as I look at it.
“Really?” I choke out.
My dad nods his head. “Fuck yeah. I want to have you with me always.”
I give him a hug, hopefully showing how much that means to me.
When he pulls away, he looks at Zeke’s tattoo and gives a whistle. “That’s fucking amazing.”
“Your daughter brought up the idea of property tattoos for the Old Ladies,” Zane says.
For a second there is silence, and then my dad looks at me in surprise. “That something you want?”
I nod my head. “Yeah, I think it would be cool. The women at the Vicious Snakes do it. I was always jealous and wanted my own.”
I worry they will judge me, but they don’t. My dad nods his head. “If that’s what you want, then I support you.”
I sigh in relief. “Thank you.”
“I was thinking of bringing it to the brothers. I know we don’t have many Old Ladies here, but it might be something we want to do. Dani made a point that when the women were out without their property vests, they would still have something with them to indicate they are claimed by an Eagle,” Zane says.
“That’s true. We can bring this to a vote. Fuck, I would love to have my woman get my name on her,” my dad says as a look comes across his face.
“Could you not make that face while I’m right here?” I say with a cringe.
My dad laughs and nods his head. “Alright.”
I shake my head. I honestly think this could be something good for the club.
Hopefully the Old Ladies who come around in the future don’t hate me for suggesting it.
My mind immediately drifts to Ana. I don’t know how she would feel about getting a property tattoo since things with her man are constantly rocky. I think that, at this point in time, she wouldn’t want something like that. Not unless he got his head out of his ass.
We will just have to see where things end up.
Chapter Nineteen
Zane
Two months later…
Fuck. I don’t think I have ever been more nervous than I am right now.
Tonight, I have a special date planned for Dani.
Things between us have been really good.
I want us to move forward in our relationship, so I plan on telling her that I love her tonight before asking her to move into the house that I bought for us.
I haven’t furnished it yet, since I wanted Dani to make the house into a home, but I had picked out a five-bedroom house that has two floors. It’s big enough for when we decide to start a family.
I ordered dinner from her favourite restaurant, and everything was set up in the place that I hope to be our new house.
She was meeting me here. Zeke was going to drop her off, since I have been busy setting this up. I have made a picnic of sorts in the empty living room.
I see headlights in the window, and I think it could be them.
I get up and open the door as Dani is climbing out of the vehicle.
