“I think I need someone to give me a bath, right fucking now,” the prospect says loudly, causing everyone to laugh.

“I’ll wash you,” one of the newer club girls says.

Someone helps him to his room as I carefully lift up Dani to bring her to our room. When we get there, I set her on the counter in our bathroom.

She waits while I get the water hot. I strip out of my clothes before taking hers off.

I carefully lift her into the tub and climb behind her.

She breathes a sigh of relief and relaxes against me.

She feels so perfect and right in my arms. I live in this moment with her. We are right where we are supposed to be.

Chapter Fourteen

Zane

One month later…

We still haven’t been able to find the fuckers that hurt Dani and N. We have spent time searching, but whoever it was hasn’t shown their face yet.

I worry it would take Dani and N to go out again to see if these bastards come out of the shadows, but I don’t want to put that kind of risk on Dani.

N, Whisky, and Dani have been spending a lot of time together. Whenever I come back to the club from work, they are all in the main room laughing and having a good time. I have noticed the nurse pays extra attention to Whisky, which made him happy. He was no longer the club grouch.

Prez had finally proposed to Robyn, and we were celebrating tonight. They were planning on getting married right away. They just wanted to wait until Dani was healed enough to participate. She is still in lots of pain and moving around is still hard for her, so I was glad that they were waiting.

Dani was extremely happy for her parents. She was glad they finally connected after all these years. I don’t remember Robyn from back then, since I was so young. All I remember from that time was my missing brother.

I’m glad to have my brother back. He decided to start prospecting, which is good since we were down a man without N, although I had no doubt he would be patched in during the next meeting. He made sure he took the worst of the damage in the accident to protect Dani which shows his loyalty.

My brother Zeke and I have gotten closer, and are spending a lot of time together, which has been great. He’s going to work at the club’s tattoo parlour while he’s not doing his prospect duties, since we are always booked up.

Our parents are happier than I have ever seen them, even though I still see looks of sadness when they think about the time they lost with him. We are focusing on making memories here and now. We have lots of family dinners and try to celebrate things he has missed.

When he contacted his adoptive parents to ask to see them, they were always too busy, but they were stopping by before the party tonight.

We needed to know if they knew he was stolen, or they were blind to it.

The fact that they are coming to the club makes me think they didn’t know. They wouldn’t willingly walk into the lion’s den if they were a part of it.

That would mean there is still an important part of the puzzle missing that we need to uncover. Hopefully, we can find the ones who were actually behind this.

The traitor we had was only a part of it. There was no way he did it on his own.

“They are here,” Zeke says after standing up and looking out the window. I follow him and see two people come out of a rental.

They were both rich; that I could tell right away.

The man was wearing a suit, and the woman was wearing a dress that looked like it cost more than I would make in a few months. I’m not broke by any means, but I don’t see the need to spend that kind of money on clothes. Then again, my clothes tend to get bloody a lot.

“Zeke,” the man says coldly as soon as he walks in and sees Zeke.

“Dale, Ruby,” Zeke says.

“What happened to mom and dad?” the woman asks in a gasp.

“You aren’t my mom and dad,” Zeke says.
